In order to get a complimentary Phantom of the Opera ticket (World tour in Thailand that’s already sold out), I have to spend 300,000 THB. Please tell me I make a good choice for this blouson. It’s so supple and warm. Do you think it would work in cold or snowy weather?

You look great @DoRaePEET. I love the blouson, but I think you’d need something warmer for snow? And, this might be bulky under a piece of outerwear. :D :flowers: Enjoy Phamtom 🥂 🍾

ETA: @flyingfree27 , love the violet jacket you posted below. To me, a very coco vibe :D It looks great on you; will be even better in the right size.

I’m thinking of the light blue jacket but wondering if this is a color that will be hard to match and does not play well with others. I would like a jacket that I could wear to work and mesh well with my current workwear, which leans more black.

IMO, trust your initial reaction above and pass. I personally agree with you. I also think the trim looks like it will not age well (To me, it seems to have a yellowish tinge). ETA: if I really loved it, I think it could work, in theory, with navy, black, charcoal gray, and perhaps bittersweet brown, white, taupe, and denim. But I might only wear light blue in the springtime in my climate, and on sunny days. So, not good cost per wear unless I loved it.
I totally second this. I tried this jacket in person and the colour and cut was terrible on me. I would advise trying it out personally to see how you feel about it. The shoulders are broad and it wasn’t working for my sloping shoulders, the colour was too bright and did not flatter my skin tone. I usually love trims and those on this fell flat for me.

On a side note, tried on this purple jacket today and loved it, waiting for a size down.

Thank you, I’ve been waiting for the perfect light purple jacket and so glad this came along. As soon as I took it off, another SA texted her client to come see it since it only arrived today.

I’ve been MIA for a while (been so busy with travels - including the cruise show in Lake Como), but wanted to share this jacket - loved the tweed and the multi color threads, no sequins.

Also found another 25A cardi during my recent travels, I loved the Asian print but none of the runway pieces or embellished versions worked for me - until I chanced upon the V neck wool cardigan. I’m getting a size down.

Tried on the black jacket and some cardigans today (The pink/grey cardigan was 1 size too big) I really like the jacket. It’s light, understated buttons, no blings. I don’t own a black 4-pocket yet, but at this price point, I have to sleep on it first. Would love to hear your opinions on this.

The black jacket seems like a nice piece to have if you don’t own a classic 4 pocket black jacket and are looking for one. The tweed is nice and there is a beautiful trim around the collar and down. Agree the price point is not great, so you got to love it. I wished it had more unique buttons though, but probably you like the understated look. Imho this is probably one of the best black jacket I’ve seen in the recent collections.

If I may add my 2 cents.
As you already mentioned, the black jacket is an "Iconic" piece with the 4 pockets. The fact the buttons blend in, makes it even more of a timeless piece.
I may or may not have come away with it too :)

ETA: I initially didn't want to look at it as I thought the buttons were too boring but then thought that that is exactly what I am looking for in my perfect little black jacket...buttons that don't stand out.
The fact also that the tweed was on the lighter weight was a winner too!

If you don’t have a little black jacket, this is a piece that you should have one. It’s like a must have item for Chanel lover. But if you already have a black jacket like Paris in Rome one, I suggest you to pass.

I’m not familiar with cold weather, so I don’t know if it would work at ski resort, but I think it’s a great piece anyway. Maybe I should add more garments llike you suggested.

I'd like to add something technical regarding the black jacket - the sleeves are too long, so you will need to take them in from the shoulders. Are the shoulders already too tight? If so, the fit might not work for you and you are better off waiting for the next jacket.

I love that this worked for you.

I tried this on at preview. I loved the tweed, but I did not care for the fit on me—I have a small frame and the boxy fit with wide neckline does not work well for me. For the items I did end up getting, I sized down at least 1-2 sizes (not the case for métiers), so I think sizing for some of the pieces depended on build (I often size down quite a bit for boxier items bc of my narrow shoulders).

But this one was on my “I need it” list, so I’m sad I couldn’t get that neckline to work for me. I love this one. Did you get the matching bag? I so wanted this to work bc I loved the mini they released to match this.

Wear in good health.
Thank you! That is so kind of you! Honestly, I'd say at least half the stuff I try on in Chanel RTW does not end up working for me. I tend to have a wide bust/wide shoulders and I'm 5'2 (no hips, straight torso) so I really don't know how things will look until I try them on.

I wish I could get the matching bag! I'm still debating the matching skirt.

Thanks for your (and everyone’s) insights! Yes, the sleeves are definitely too long. Shoulders maybe are a little tight.. but if I take 38, it would be too loose. My SA suggested they could enlarge the armholes for a more comfortable fit. Would taking out the 36 or taking in the 38 be a better option?

Also, I think I will need to try it on again with different pants and shoes!

I’m the minority view on this thread in many I prefer taking out a 36. I think most here have opined that they prefer taking in a 38

I prefer to wear street clothes that is normally wear with a prospective purchase. Wearing the wrong things when I go shopping sometimes leads to mistakes for me
