I think it runs slightly small as it’s very fitted. But it’s made like this on purpose.
I have a friend that bought one bigger than the size and it doesn’t fit right.

Chanel Lovelies, have any of you bought this jacket from MDA 25? One popped up (with tags) on Sellier two days after launch and £2K below retail. I'm considering purchasing it although it's one size too small. The seamstress at my local boutique said okay to an alteration. Generally, I rock CHANEL jackets with jeans. Thinking high-waisted wide leg jeans with block heels but would value your opinions. I'm meant to be on a ban until FW Act 2 but CHANEL temptation is real!

I tried this on at preview. I loved the tweed, but I did not care for the fit on me—I have a small frame and the boxy fit with wide neckline does not work well for me. For the items I did end up getting, I sized down at least 1-2 sizes (not the case for métiers), so I think sizing for some of the pieces depended on build (I often size down quite a bit for boxier items bc of my narrow shoulders).
But this one was on my “I need it” list, so I’m sad I couldn’t get that neckline to work for me. I love this one. Did you get the matching bag? I so wanted this to work bc I loved the mini they released to match this.

I would be worried as to why it’s offered two days after launch at such a discount. . . If it didn’t work, why wouldn’t the original buyer return or exchange it? But, I’m not familiar with this jacket or its fit. Fingers crossed that this works for you!
This is métiers, so it was likely purchased before the most recent launch (maybe during preview, so already over a month ago). But I would be skeptical too…
I will say that this was not comfy around the neckline. It scratched me. If you’re not sensitive, do it up.
Another thing to note is if it can be let out enough (depends on so many factors). I had a cropped blazer and culottes from 2022 that the blazer was one size too small and it was too difficult to work with. I was past the return date by the time I went in for alts (purchased remotely), but they got approval for me to exchange it (allowable due to status likely). Anyways… they can usually do two sizes up/down, but not always. Also, sometimes items just are not tts (this one is. I would skip it if you have sensitive skin, broad shoulders or larger bust. If it’s just button placement, and a slight shoulder mod, I love the vibe you’re going for.
I have a few full Chanel suits and I virtually NEVER wear them together. It’s always as separates. I figure when I’m older I’ll have plenty of time to wear them together…
Went to a Chanel beauty event and then popped in to see my boutique SA. Her colleague was so excited and asked if my older Heart bag was current prefall season. Rather surprised they re- released it so quickly.

Agree with @Jewels24. I do like to have the matching piece for some combos, just in case. But, I’m still waiting to get old enough to wear some two pieces, and I’m 57
It may be very cheap of me to say, but my SA will kind of nudge me if she thinks I can wait until sale to get the second piece, as in my micro sequined pants (the top is a long line vest that I bought at full price)

This collection was heavily marketed in China. I would be concerned about fakes if I were you...There were a couple of collections a few years ago that was heavily counterfeited.
