Genz: I think it's mostly kids born in or after 2000. I.e. college kids today for the most part.
I read yesterday that the average teenager uses 3-4 hours of social media daily. Oh my! Here is the generation gap: my only social media is tpf, if this qualifies?

What kind of work do you do? I can't imagine either at work.

I work in the back office for an investment firm, so both of them won't be work cloths. It will definitely be more of a casual/non-work outfit, but then I guess I can find something similar if I explore Dior or other brands...

I've already told my SA that there are only very few items I am interested in for this collection and I will be getting less jackets moving forward

I am having 2nd thoughts whether I should be getting either one of these jackets having seen the recent collection

thanks @911snowball! We got back; I went to the safety deposit to pick up my jewelry, then I went to Dior lol. For three weeks in Italy, I wore basically Dior hoodie dresses, brunello pants and chanel sleeveless tops and chanel short and long sleeved cardigan sweaters bc they all rolled up in the carry on and didn’t wrinkle. the chanel tops and sweaters also layered well over and under other items. Venice pics are cross posted from the travel thread (Dior hoodie dress, palm skirt, tie dye jacket, and sweat pants; chanel short and long sleeved sweaters; wolford and chanel tops

thank you @ms piggy! The shorts are Dior navy camo (also with a matching bomber jacket) that went on sale last season. Compared to chanel, reasonably priced. 2K USD, down to 1K, I think. Here is a pic of the bomber (with alaia calf hair skirt) if you want to get a closer look at the camo detail ( the shorts have same pattern detail but are darker and more structured somehow) and a copy of the ticket for the shorts if your SA can search (shorts run large and are elastic waistbanded)

@ms piggy Thank you kindly for your response. I fear it would be cropped on me as I am 5’8” However, I am wondering how a long tee or cami would look under it.

I’m 5’ 5 1/2 if it helps. Layering over a long tee and skinnies, dress or paired with high waisted skirt/pants.

IMO depends on how this cut fits your figure; the price; what you already own; and, cost per wear my eyes must be going, but they seem like basic black jackets, IDK

thank you @ms piggy! I bought the mini Loewe puzzle for travel bc I did not want to take my mini craie Della cavalleria. The mini puzzle snugly fit: two passports and plastic holder covid vaccine cards; a Valextra flat sun glass case for my oversized sunglasses (temples exposed); a card case; a medium sized tube of hand sanitizer; a pill case; a pen; and, sometimes my invisalyne case depending on whether I wanted to squeeze it in. it was lightweight; inconspicuous (among all the premier brands other locals andtourists were wearing); and, the light color in pebbled leather seemed stain resilient.

im also a fan of shorts from moncler. They’re made of some kind of techno fabric, full cut, mid thigh, with a semi paper bag waist (I wear them with jackets just as I would wear a short skirt) I have them in camel, black and a very dark green (sort of a mi litany forest olive mix) in NYC these days, they can go out to nice dinner, museum, brunch, shopping, like this (beige and forest green moncler shorts with Dior


im reorganizing my closet and I’m embarrassed to say I cannot find a bittersweet brown chanel leather a line skirt. i hope I’m not the only one here who is this disorganized lol

My Nordstom boutique has gotten weird since they were taken over by Chanel. They have this sweater on display, but apparently nobody can touch or try it on until December. They brought in new people from the east coast to run the boutique. Lots of new rules. I think they’re trying to create a sense of exclusivity and scarcity, but it’s just a turn off for me. Not in keeping with the laid back, inclusive west coast ethos.

My Nordstom boutique is a sh*tshow. It is filled with people who are very young and know absolutely nothing about KL and prior seasons. They are clueless about fabrics and the brand in general. The old crew was smarter and helpful. The new ones just want to get you to buy and push everything at you. Oh, and that is when you can actually find a warm body in the Dept. When I bought my Metier black jacket, I went in knowing about the offerings because of this thread and knew what I wanted to look for and try on. Kudos to all the ladies here!

Hello everyone! I stopped by my boutique but most of the pieces I had requested had not yet arrived.
costa, I ordered both the black jacket with the sparkle buttons and the grey plaid trousers. I had not thought to wear them together but after seeing your pic, I love the look! I am short and ordered the pants on a whim thinking they would overwhelm me in pattern
(I am just 5' 4") but my excellent seamstress will make it work I hope. Thanks so much for the inspiration.
I tried on this black blouse - very pretty but unsure how much I would wear it. I have nothing else to show as I am still awaiting my
items to arrive in store

Omg. I literally screeched when I read this. That is ridiculous! Cruise comes out in November ! I have a very nice nordies sa in Minny who just got that sweater in a 40 who would be happy to send it to you to try. And my SA at neimans here has the 38 !

Yes you are right ... I found some lovely posts from style_in_snapshotes, M_ichele and Ms Piggy. They look very chic when worn. I suspect I might have to have a whole lot taken off from them too. Were they a sold out item from SS21 or do you think they might still be stashed away in a store somewhere?
