I thought it was a fun and pretty collection but also young. I like it but not necessarily wear especially the really short and crop pieces.

I‘m not big into colours but I thought this is nice.

This is the only one I could see going for because it is different.
Just saw the spring summer 2022 show, and it left a lot to be desired so to speak...they tried to re do the 90s , no new creativity, just copying Karl’s work in rtw and ideas for themes of the show...boring! Also, they could at least have brought unique muses to model the clothes like they did when back then... for example Chanel had the amazingly talented Sandra Bernhard model for the show...I think the 90s clothes and models were more captivating as well.

I agree. I was underwhelmed. I wish she would stop the dropped shoulders and making things oversized.

I think my wallet will be pretty safe with this collection!! The only pieces that I think I might be interested are these 2, but then the 2nd one might be too see through for normal wear......

@Brooklynite, @monkyjib, what is gen Z; is it millennial? I think the collection reminds me of the cute movie Clueless way back when

@ms piggy , I love your going out to run errands outfits! the colorful skirted suit you posted (do people still use that term) reminds me of missoni or (I’m having a senior moment) but the other designer that looks like missoni. Somehow it also reminds me of bennetton sweaters I had in high school and college but that would be just before 1990s.

I wonder if you can ask for the fabric they’ve cut off back…?
ITA with @m_ichele. I think I get the fabric back (I have gallon zip bags and shoe boxes filled with scraps and buttons and things.

in case anyone wants a lightweight hoodie to layer under jackets (IMO it makes them more Street wearable), this season wolford did one that’s part semi sheer but mainly opaque, I’m wearing a size small wolford and I’m a size 40 chanel. Here with Dior camo shorts, chanel jacket (sale 2021). And it also slides under other things easily (beige Dior dress, size 42 — I bought dress a bit oversized so I could layer just like this)

I just realized that a chanel skirt from boutique around mid 2000s coordinates well with a 2021 jacket

last pic is most recent purchase Dior grey skirt with techo (aka polyester bib) with poly chanel tie cardigan 2021. If anyone is interested in this Dior skirt, it’s about 6100K USD; weighs a lot but isn’t too warm; and, it runs very VERY large in the waist. I took a size 40 in this skirt, but a 46 in the Dior techno denim skirt (both 2021). (I’ll wear it casually with doc martens (my SA cringed and laughed when I said this, but I think wearing utilitarian shoes brings it down a notch) Am having fun mixing Dior and chanel together

Wow the older skirt and the recent jacket, how perfect! Thanks for the hoodie recommendation. I love the navy shorts, may I know where they are from?
And the Dior skirt is amazing!

thanks @911snowball! We got back; I went to the safety deposit to pick up my jewelry, then I went to Dior lol. For three weeks in Italy, I wore basically Dior hoodie dresses, brunello pants and chanel sleeveless tops and chanel short and long sleeved cardigan sweaters bc they all rolled up in the carry on and didn’t wrinkle. the chanel tops and sweaters also layered well over and under other items. Venice pics are cross posted from the travel thread (Dior hoodie dress, palm skirt, tie dye jacket, and sweat pants; chanel short and long sleeved sweaters; wolford and chanel tops

thank you @ms piggy! The shorts are Dior navy camo (also with a matching bomber jacket) that went on sale last season. Compared to chanel, reasonably priced. 2K USD, down to 1K, I think. Here is a pic of the bomber (with alaia calf hair skirt) if you want to get a closer look at the camo detail ( the shorts have same pattern detail but are darker and more structured somehow) and a copy of the ticket for the shorts if your SA can search (shorts run large and are elastic waistbanded)

Love the Dior skirts :) and the hoodie idea !
Need to check that out !!!

Re spring I finally watched the show.
I of course loved the idea of the two tone cardigan. Hard to believe but I have yet to get a simple black cardigan. This may not qualify either. Loved the cute lilac skirt w the longer ruffle in back. And the shiny tweed was also pretty. I prob can’t do the jacket but the skirt looks nice. I also liked the print skirts at the end but one may need tights or a slip under ❤️ I also liked the colorful set ms piggy posted :)
