And I did try the jacket on with frilly collar. Doesn't work for me because of my short neck.

I agree. The cut of the jacket is nice and on the fitted side. It would definitely be more versatile if it is removable at least. Other than the design, I also don't like the material of it although I did not get into more details on it. I guess versatility is not a factor to weight much for the designer just like many Chanel RTW, material wise, are not meant to be cleaned/washed to extend the longevity to enjoy.

I don't think the jacket I saw in my boutique was exactly the same, but my feedback was the same as yours. An SA there actually commented that in the past, such a design tended to have the ruffles removable, but this one wasn't the case.
Ditto on material. Too much poly to my touch.

Totally agree. I think silk would be a better choice in my humble opinion for better look and comfort. Maybe alteration can get it completely removed.

Hi - does anyone here buy Chanel trousers? I'm wondering on their sizing. If you were a size 8 UK would you go for a 36 in general or is it totally variable based on style? Do people get trousers altered in the same way as jackets?
Also how is the length on them - as a petite 5 ft 1 this is a perennial problem for me in any case I guess !
I'll check out next time I am at Chanel but was intrigues to hear thoughts from more experienced Chanel girls!

I can't comment on UK sizing but I bought a pair of pants and had them altered. They cut a HUGE amount off the bottom. I am 5'2".

I am not an anti fur person, but this faux looks creepy. It reminds me, of the weird to me, style way back when women wore mink shrugs with the mink head still on the pelt.

I was thinking the same. You could use to trim something non Chanel and it would be cute.

You would think they are obligated to...even my local tailor would give back fabric after cutting off the bottom of a nice pair of pants.
