how do you know if its the wider cut or the old style ? i just bought mine in january so i’m not sure if its the new one or not :frown:
I tried on a pair a few seasons ago and they were so narrow. I had heard Chanel cut them wider, so I took a chance and ordered the white ones first. They are definitely wider. I could barely get the narrow ones on. These slide right on.

Hi! I posted this in the Chanel shoe club, but just realized this is better thread to post...

Update on the Chanel espadrilles for those who have tried them on a few seasons ago and found them too narrow... I heard the newer season espadrilles are cut wider, and they are!

I just purchased the white lambskin w/black cap toe espadrilles, and love the fit! I had tried on leather espadrilles from previous seasons and could not even get my foot in. Now they are perfect. I am going to get the classic beige lambskin w/black cap toe espadrilles also since they fit so well.

I wanted to share this for anyone who has had issues with espadrilles in the past.
Thank you for sharing! Because of your info, I decided to try them on again & brought the beige/black ones home with me! (It had been several years since I had tried them on.)

Has anyone managed to find an orthotic the fits in the espadrilles? I have PF and need more support. I tried some espadrilles pre-covid but they didn't seem supportive.

I have PF too and not able to use an orthotic with mine. You will walk out of the shoe. The thicker sole helps my feet not ache though. I will say, my PF has calmed tremendously, but I doubt I would’ve been able to wear my espadrilles if my PF was flared.

Thank you. I did not think orthotics would fit. Wearing Birkenstocks during the shutdowns helped my PF go away. So I probably could get away with using the espadrilles for short periods of time. It might not be worth the cost though.

Has this happened to anyone else? I’m trying to figure out if it’s the way I walk or something wrong with the shoe. I also have a pair of the beige ones but it doesn’t do this. But these are also much stiffer than my beige ones so they are tighter. It’s so ugly that I want to replace it but I just got them last year lol. This only happens after a few hours of walking

I have two pairs, and both do not do this. It can't be you as the beige ones don't do this on you.
I agree, it's not an attractive look. I would be like you too... I'd get a new pair; I would not like looking at them.

Hi! I’m looking to buy my first pair of espadrilles in lambskin I don’t know what size to get because of the stretching, I’m usually a 5.5-6 US and my Gucci espadrilles are a size 36. Will a 36 be good or go down a size?

36 might be good fit. The espadrilles comes in whole size. If you are 5.5 , you can go 36. Chanel shoes usually run small. I am us 7, but for Chanel I have to go 7.5/37.5. My espadrilles are 38. 37 is tight on my feet. Hope it helps.
