thank you for the help !! its not a ton of extra space currently that my foot will slip out, but i can definitely wiggle my foot around - i just hear all these stories of people saying theirs stretch out so much they can’t wear it anymore and would hate for that to happen to me over time
Do you happen to know if these are also on sale in Chanel Boutiques? I live in Canada and can only get them at the Chanel store. I'm looking for the same pair!
I agree with Golden & would buy the leather ones a little tight before I went up so many sizes. I also have wide feet, wide toe box area and apparently - wide foot overall (my shoes were tight across the main portion of the feet [the bridge?]) I would wear them for short outings until they streched out. But, they never really got comfortable.
As far as the extra length, despite them being uncomfortably tight, I would rather have that than a blister on the heel from them slipping up and down because the length is too long.
Guess it is a matter of preference. Which did you end up going with?
hi !! so with having wide feet like me, how much do you size up typically from your true size ? i actually ended up going back into the boutique to try on the 39 and they slipped right on, even with some wiggle room to spare !! (crazy how compared to the first time i couldn’t even get half my foot in LOL) - now i’m even waiting for the boutique to get a 38 in stock so i can re-try on again. glad i didn’t stick with the 40 ! thank you for the help !!!
Hi! May I ask what store you got them from? I am hoping they may still have a pair in size 38. I tried espadrilles a few years ago and they were so narrow. It sounds like maybe they make them wider now, I hope so. Thanks

Update on the Chanel espadrilles for those who have tried them on a few seasons ago and found them too narrow... I heard the newer season espadrilles are cut wider, and they are!
I just purchased the white lambskin w/black cap toe espadrilles, and love the fit! I had tried on leather espadrilles from previous seasons and could not even get my foot in. Now they are perfect. I am going to get the classic beige lambskin w/black cap toe espadrilles also since they fit so well.
I wanted to share this for anyone who has had issues with espadrilles in the past.

Hi! You should definitely try a pair now! I was so hesitant to order them as I had tried them on several times in the past and they were so narrow for me.
I think you will love the fit now. I got the white and the beige is being shipped. The pale pink looks nice too, but I may be going overboard, so I haven't purchased the pale pink yet. I can't wait to wear mine... I'm ready for summer!
Give them a second chance... I was so amazed and super happy about the fit.

I have mine in classic beige lambskin with black top as well but barely using them because there’s the time I could get my feet in there and there’s the time I couldn’t because of the narrow opening. Sometimes I am thinking to sell them and get another one size up. Now I know they make it bigger opening, will definitely visit the store to try the newer version.
