Yep, they were on sale at a Saks in HoustonWhere did you buy them? In US?
Thank youYep, they were on sale at a Saks in Houston
thank you for the help !! its not a ton of extra space currently that my foot will slip out, but i can definitely wiggle my foot around - i just hear all these stories of people saying theirs stretch out so much they can’t wear it anymore and would hate for that to happen to me over timeI own 2 pairs and they have both stretched all around the shoes, not just the lip/toe part. For one pair (I don't know why it's not the case for the other, maybe the lambskin varies), it has stretched so much that it slips my feet if I wear them on a cold day.
I would say it depends on 2 things for you:
1/do you prefer slightly snug or slightly roomy shoes? A lot of people don't mind a bit of room (see Meghab Makle's heels), but I personally can't stand large shoes. I'd rather buy the snug pair and break them in in the house to stretch them.
2/the extra room you mention for the size 40, is that a lot extra that the shoe will slip off your feet? If not and you prefer comfort, you can put insoles in to make them fit better.
Hope this helps!

I haven’t seen them in boutiques but i’ll post if i do!Do you happen to know if these are also on sale in Chanel Boutiques? I live in Canada and can only get them at the Chanel store. I'm looking for the same pair!
Ok thanks : )I haven’t seen them in boutiques but i’ll post if i do!
I agree with Golden & would buy the leather ones a little tight before I went up so many sizes. I also have wide feet, wide toe box area and apparently - wide foot overall (my shoes were tight across the main portion of the feet [the bridge?]) I would wear them for short outings until they streched out. But, they never really got comfortable.hi everyone ! i had some questions about the lambskin espadrilles !! i’m normally a size 38 (US 7 1/2), but i have wide feet - i tried on 39 and 40 in the boutique and i had such a hard time getting my foot into the 39 because of how tight the lip of the shoe was. 40 i was able to get my foot in past the lip, but i had some extra room around the heel of my foot. i know the shoes stretch, but will it stretch only at the lip of the shoe (width wise), or also on the heel area (length wise) ? should i get the 39 or keep the 40 ? is it normal to jump up this many sizes with the espadrilles ? thank you in advance !!!
hi !! so with having wide feet like me, how much do you size up typically from your true size ? i actually ended up going back into the boutique to try on the 39 and they slipped right on, even with some wiggle room to spare !! (crazy how compared to the first time i couldn’t even get half my foot in LOL) - now i’m even waiting for the boutique to get a 38 in stock so i can re-try on again. glad i didn’t stick with the 40 ! thank you for the help !!!I agree with Golden & would buy the leather ones a little tight before I went up so many sizes. As far as the extra length, despite them being uncomfortably tight, I would rather have that than a blister on the heel from them slipping up and down because the length is too long.
Guess it is a matter of preference. Which did you end up going with?
Hi! May I ask what store you got them from? I am hoping they may still have a pair in size 38. I tried espadrilles a few years ago and they were so narrow. It sounds like maybe they make them wider now, I hope so. ThanksGot my white/black espadrilles.
I have the all black in 37 and that was snug when I first put it on. This ones are a bit loose already. I wonder maybe the leather is a bit thinner this time ♀️
I still love them regardless
Hi! I posted this in the Chanel shoe club, but just realized this is better thread to post...
Update on the Chanel espadrilles for those who have tried them on a few seasons ago and found them too narrow... I heard the newer season espadrilles are cut wider, and they are!
I just purchased the white lambskin w/black cap toe espadrilles, and love the fit! I had tried on leather espadrilles from previous seasons and could not even get my foot in. Now they are perfect. I am going to get the classic beige lambskin w/black cap toe espadrilles also since they fit so well.
I wanted to share this for anyone who has had issues with espadrilles in the past.
Hi! You should definitely try a pair now! I was so hesitant to order them as I had tried them on several times in the past and they were so narrow for me.Thanks for the info., that was the reason I never bought because it was too narrow and couldn't get foot in, now I may reconsider.
