Has anyone been into Chanel since the new release, and had them talking about 'unisex' sizing?

Last time I was in there trying these bad boys on, I was told by the SA that they are in Unisex sizing, and mens sizing?
I'm not sure if that is the same thing, and they just don't want to tell me I'm buying mens sizing (like I care??) Anyway, I am usually a 42, tried on the 42 they had...WAY too big.
This is when she tells me about the sizing.
Tried on 41, still too big.
So now I'm thinking a 40 will fit...but only in this 'unisex' 'mens' sizing.
I know there is NO WAY I will be a 40 in womens....

SO my question is, does anyone know what the deal with this sizing is?
And how can I express this to NM SA's, as the one I am working with now doesn't seem to know what I'm talking about :nogood::crybaby:

Also, I am ordering from Australia, so going in and trying them on (or ordering them and sending back) isn't really an option.

Any help would be awesome!! Thank you :)

First off I want to state that I am a guy hehehe :D My 2 chanel espadrilles in canvas are for "men's sizing" of 42 they run in true size (well at least for me I normally wear in that size) have a thinner sole compare to women version double sole (thicker). I believe that women version of espadrilles has two kind of sole one is single (thinner) and other is double (thicker) and mens version only comes with thin soles. The only difference bet mens and womens version are the sizing but the style and design are pretty much the same. Perhaps that's what your SA trying to tell you about the "unisex" thing :) is if you like it and you can fit on it then its ok to wear it regardless if its in mens or womens sizing :) Womens sizing for these babies are a lil bit tricky some gone up sizing some go down. The better way to make sure is to try them on. I remember the first time I saw the chanel espadrilles at the store I asked my SA what is the biggest size they have then she informed me that they also carry men sizing for these babies. In my shock and excitement after trying on the white with black cap toe canvas (my 1st chanel espadrilles) I whipped out my wallet to get it and then after few weeks I found myself whipping out my wallet again for my 2nd and hopefully the last chanel espadrilles the blue denim and black cap toe canvas. Hahaha

They were. But they are sold out country wide. Only luck is on ebay. I bought the last size 38 in the US through the boutique. I'm actually a 39, but I loved them so much that I was willing to get a size smaller. I had the boutique stretch them for me & it helped & they fit well.
