You have effectively set and sealed the stains with Apple and altered the special enzyme garment washed italian leather permanently.

Linea Pelle are easy to keep nice with simple methods outlined in this thread.

Thanks for your response Stormy Heart. I took a closer look at my bag today and I think the two stains that I tried to clean a few months ago look okay, I think this one is actually new. I haven't done anything yet and even though I have read this entire thread I am confused on what to clean it with since it's an enzyme dyed leather. I saw something about warm water and a glycerin based soap and then something about leathermagic cleaner. Can you tell me what would be most effective at trying to clean this new stain. After that I plan to treat it with the Wilson's leather spray.

So I have a set of LP cosmetic bags, and I just conditioned the smallest one with the Wilsons lotion: http://www.wilsonsleather.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1834945

Was I not supposed to do that? Reading the earlier posts in this thread suggests that you are only supposed to use stuff that's safe for suede and nubuck leather, and the Wilsons lotion says that it's "Not for use on suede, split, or nude leathers." I did notice that the leather absorbed the lotion incredibly quickly such that it was really hard to "spread" it around.

If Wilsons lotion is not what I should be using, what is?

(I was going to spray it next with Wilsons TLC, which I understand is perfectly OK for LP bags?)

please bear w/ me i tried reading through the threads and got overwhelmed. so i thought i'd just write a post instead

i have a lambskin pink linea pelle bag. i took it out in the rain by accident, not treated and now i have water dots all over the bag.

any suggestions as what i should do? thought of throwing it in the wash but wasn't sure if it was going to darken the leather.

thanks.

Hi, haven't had time to read through all the threads. I just wanted to ask for helpful advice on treating a brand new DMT in the Scotch color. What is the best treatment for the leather, and the steps in the process. Thanks so much in advance

It's a leather you really shouldn't treat. I have the same bag and also anotheri n the same leather and color and neither are treated. Make sure if you wear dark denim that you wash the jeans at least two times to prevent dye transfer onto the bag.

Honestly? I used Apple products of my new DMT and it looks -fine-. In fact I dare say I helped an area on the bag when it arrived with a puncture in the leather. There were scratch marks evident on the leather and the Apple conditioner/cleaner made it look better.

So, I dunno *shrug*. I won't clean my LP bag all the time or even put repellent on it, but using something on the leather a couple times won't kill it IMO.

A good spray Rain & Stain protector is ideal for a new bag to keep it beautiful.

I love your name ! ~my beloved MIL's name was Melpomeni.
Apple cleaner/conditioner products are not good for LP leather.
Most scratch and scuff marks will simply rub out with your clean hands.

Protector sprays are all pretty much alike, and are highly recommended.

I will heed your advice then; I didn't use the cleaner all over the bag at least so that's a plus lol! And thank you for the compliment, most people just kinda boggle at my name and get confused on how to say it

I am sure this has been posted somewhere but I cannot find any info. But I just got my first Dylan zip wallet and the zipper on outside keeps catching on the small zipper pull tab on inside. For now I have tucked the inside pull tab into the pocket but is there a better idea? Will it smooth out if I fight it for a while? I just don't want to ruin anything.
