I have lost SO MUCH money from the layaway program, but mostly due to me being an impulsive shopper. I will see something new and interesting and reserve it, then the novelty wears off, and I don't have interest in it anymore. There have been a few times I have reserved and paid off the order, and then returned due to not liking the bag in person and still losing the 10% deposit.Have you ordered from them before? I just started buying from them after being hesitant for so long from all the stories here but so far no issues. Shipping has been prompt and items have been just as described .there are only a few other resellers I will buy from but they just can’t seem to get the volume of stuff PF does. I am amazed at how much comes in. New styles that were just released from LV (I only check LV items) and other styles I haven’t seen posted elsewhere. The prices are so high in my opinion. I’m still trying to learn the ins and outs of PF though…I would like to try their layaway but so nervous on that…I may try on a small ticket item..
I still like the layaway program, I like having the option, I'm just a lot more selective about what I reserve. As much as I kick myself for losing so much money, it was my choice and I paid for a service.
I don't want to write a novel, but there was a period of time for me when items were arriving not as described, and I was having trouble getting the layaway fee refunded. This is where filming an unboxing would be really handy.
Lately I have had two bags arrive not as described, and their customer service has greatly improved.
The first bag had a broken strap hook, and they offered a $250 refund to fix the bag at Hermes. The second bag arrived two weeks ago, and it was damaged during shipment. Luckily I had a lot of photos from the personal shopper to show how the bag looked before it arrived, and they offered me a FP store gift card for the inconvenience. I think because the bag was priced so low to begin with, they couldn't really lower the price of the bag anymore.
