Hello everyone! I just wanted to report that I brought 9 items to FP today for quotes (7 bags and 2 bag straps) and out of the 7 bags I decided to keep 3. My new Chanel 19 in large got a low quote (imo) for the prestine condition it is in. I bought it new in 2019 and used it maybe 5 or 6 times. I decided to start using it as to just sit is a waste (imo). I was told by one of the ladies on the showroom floor it is low due to it being a large. Perhaps that is true, but I love it enough to keep it vs selling at such a low price. The other 2 I decided to keep were decent quotes. It was just that I decided not to part from them yet :)

The bags I sold today got me this goregous Chanel shiny leather top handle and a LV Speedy Trunk, which is being shipped to me as it's at the NY location. I was able to take the Chanel home today though:) I also had a little over $1k balance from my sale so that gets deposited into my bank account. It was actually a nice day today at FP :)
Congrats on the Chanel, she's GORGEOUS! If anyone is able to sell in person at one of their flagship locations, Carlsbad or NYC, it really is worth the drive. It's a fun experience :)

Thank you! I love the look of this bag! My gosh! Beautiful! I agree, it is fun at FP. More fun when you get a great quote on an item you are selling and can buy something else. Lol :)

Has anybody used the buyback option after purchasing an item from them? Just curious how it goes and if worth using..
I've done it with several bags and it was very easy. The buyback price was listed on my orders, and all I had to do was click on the option and mail the bag. This was at least five years ago so I don't know if anything has changed.

I did see that on the purchase history and the option…Thank! I hope they honor that amount..

So a bag I purchased from Fashionphile just arrived and Im a bit confused about their sustainable practices. The box is promoting recycling (as is purchasing pre-loved items in general) yet they then added a bunch of useless "confetti" - what a total waste! Has anyone else noticed or questioned this?

Slightly off topic, but I thought the same thing when I was at the Coldplay concert the other night. My daughter and I were talking about how we were so impressed with their push for sustainable practices, including bicycles and a kinetic pad you could jump on to help create energy that would be used to power their next show, videos about ocean cleanup and messaging indicating that a portion of ticket proceeds is donated to that initiative, yet then had tons of fireworks polluting the air, mass amounts of confetti and streamers, etc. Seems counterproductive to me.

I hate confetti, even worse the metallic tinsel squares, sequins or glitter that come in makeup packages (was it Pat McGrath?). Greenwashing is real as is hypocrisy. It's just virtue signalling to virtue signallers.

Did all of Coldplay and their road crew cycle to their gig with there amps on their head and stage monitors taped to the handlebars?

The place where I work uses the word 'sustainability' in almost every paragraph of everything they write but their last campaign featured rainbow confetti in every picture, the air con or heating is left on night and day in every room empty or occupied, post-it notes seem to be used for every 'learning' or 'team building' exercise, and recently bought white carpets means they have to be cleaned constantly not just vacuumed.

If I hear once more that leather is not sustainable I will throw my vintage 1960s Perfecto jacket at somebody, never mind factories making new plastic bottles to fulfil orders for recycled or the fashion industry producing overstock so that outlets don't go empty.

I ordered something from Fashionphile recently and IIRC, there was a "reduced packaging" option or something like that when checking out. I remember choosing it and I didn't get all the extra little throw in things, just the product and the designer box/cert.
This is interesting and helpful. Was the item in a sturdy box taped well with tamper resistant tape? That, to me, is critical when purchasing relatively expensive items via e-commerce. It would be great to not get the confetti and other items.

It was a sturdy box and the item (JUC earrings) was in its designer box wrapped in bubble wrap. I don't remember tamper resistant tape specifically but I wasn't looking for it. It was overall well packaged.

I DID opt for the reduced packaging option! That "confetti" is useful to literally noone. In my opinion, it's annoying to have to make sure it doesn't go flying everywhere when removing items from box. But it's also annoying to sit through just about every concert (have been to 4 in past month ago with confetti), Broadway musical (last week also with confetti), etc. and think of all that waste too - not to mention the people who have to clean it up every night. 🤦‍♀️

As I just mentioned, I did opt for the sustainable packaging and it was secured with tamper-resistant tape.
