I just discovered the new return timeline for FP and their ship-back cost as a result of this thread. I have sold to them a few times recently but not returned anything. I'm sad to see they are punishing buyers, especially since I associate luxury purchases with free shipping both ways. The 15 days return policy doesn't bother me but the shipping cost does, especially since their items can be very high in price and should be returnable complimentary. And there was no notification at all on their IG or email, which I watch closely. YoogisCloset used to charge for shipping both ways and eventually dropped that model for free shipping both ways -- imo it seems the company (FP) isn't doing well when they have to find small ways here and there to get more from customers.

I just purchased an item today and the estimated delivery day is in 11 days, due to the holiday and two weekends, I suppose. If I have 15 days to return if needed, did we verify that it needs to be shipped back by the 15th day or that it needs to be delivered back to Fashionphile by the 15th day? I can easily ship it back within a day or two of receiving it, but it will likely take a while to get back to them. I would prefer that they allowed ~3 days after delivery to return if needed, since it's out of my control how long it takes for an item to be delivered after they ship it, especially since shipping delays are so common now with all of the carriers.

  • Returns must be postmarked within fifteen (15) days of the shipped date or in-store purchase date.

Data point. I went to sell FP an outdoor messenger bag from the men’s line. I’ve used it, but it’s in excellent shape. It’s not in a desired color, so I wasn’t expecting to get top dollar. My quote was for $400. For a bag that is $2200 + tax. I usually get they have a business to run and I will take 50% if retail (it’s my cost for using the bag), but less than 18% of retail is ridiculous.

That is terrible, I'm sorry to hear it.

I am really disappointed in their abrupt policy changes with no email updates advising us of them . . First the shortened return window and now the $15 return label. Been dealing with them for over a decade . Used to know the names of people there but now it feels so different . Not loving the new arrangement nor the lack of notice

I think I am done with FP. Most of their listings are considered “excellent”, but have wear that I don’t think fits my definition of excellent. They price things ridiculously and their offers have become extraordinarily low. I’m all for them making a profit, and I realize that part of that is buying low and selling high, but many of their prices are higher than the item new for items that are readily available.

What bag was it?
Mulberry Alexa buffalo leather. I bought it for $505 through a reseller, but didn't work out for me. It wasn't selling when I had it listed on Mercari/Posh, so I was hoping to get some of that money back through consignment. No luck.

CoutureUSA denied it because they don't like Mulberry I guess. Looks like I am stuck with it. I did schedule an appointment with TRR so they can inspect it, but eh. Not holding my breath for a decent buyout.
