**Buying from Fashionphile** shopping experiences/questions

Mulberry Alexa buffalo leather. I bought it for $505 through a reseller, but didn't work out for me. It wasn't selling when I had it listed on Mercari/Posh, so I was hoping to get some of that money back through consignment. No luck.

CoutureUSA denied it because they don't like Mulberry I guess. Looks like I am stuck with it. I did schedule an appointment with TRR so they can inspect it, but eh. Not holding my breath for a decent buyout.
CoutureUSA probably has too small market as a small local consignment store. At $100-200 consignments buyout, I'd try ebay, should get $300 plus

Hi all!

Question: Does anyone have any experience with Fashionphile UPS package investigations? Are they usually successful?

My Loewe mini Hammock has been sitting somewhere in a local UPS distribution facility since Tuesday, July 18 without any movement or updates.

I contacted Fashionphile today and they immediately opened an investigation. Fashionphile Fraud and Risk Manager said to expect an update on 7/31 and a final claim decision on 8/9.

I'm already preparing not to receive my birthday bag, which is a complete First World problem but still disappointing.

Today is the 20th, I've had packages arrive with no scanning for more than a day..I wouldn't get too stressed just yet

question: I have purchased several bags from the RealReal and I’ve always been pleased with their company policies, pricing, and their willingness to work with the customer. Only a handful of times have I had an issue and they have always resolved it to my satisfaction. There was a particular bag that I had been looking for for awhile, and I found one in excellent condition on Fashionphile. So I decided to order this as a first time purchase from Fashionphile. I purchased it in the afternoon. 10 hours later on the same calendar day, I get an email that says you can get a $300 discount off your next purchase if you spend $1500. The bag I purchased cost $1530 before tax. So I emailed Fashionphile with screenshots of both dated emails: my order and the promotional email that I received, asking if I could be eligible for the $300 promotional discount off a future purchase since I had purchased the initial bag only a few hours prior, had never purchased from the company before, and did not even know that they offered incentives. Their response left a negative feeling to me over the issue and the way that it was handled. They told me that it would not be “fair to all;” kind of like I was asking them to do something unethical. And that once I receive the initial bag, I could return the bag to them and reorder it so that I would be making the purchase in the promo window?!? And this from a company that promotes itself as a sustainable alternative?!? Has anyone else encountered this? Should I just dismiss this from my mind and continue to buy from this company? Welcome your thoughts.

I have two thoughts for you. One is that their current promo is not $xxx off on a current purchase, it is a future credit towards a future purchase. Secondly, sometimes I do receive promos from them that are exclusive to me, but generally it is either after a large purchase, or when I haven't purchased from them in awhile, as an incentive to buy something else from them before the promo expires.

Yes, the current promo is $ off a future purchase, which I was eying another bag for next purchase. Thank you so much for responding to my message. It helps me to know that I may receive future incentives.

You are welcome. I would also recommend signing up for their email messages. That way when they have a promo code you will find out a little bit earlier than most people. I usually get the emails late in the evening the night before the promo sale starts. By the morning, almost everything I have been watching is already sold, so you want to act fast.

If the order hasn't shipped you can cancel it and immediately reorder it from the website, and that would get you the current promo you missed out on by hours. If it's already shipped it's too late.

The only minor thing I would add is that, I don’t know if what you purchased was already discounted. If it was, after you cancel, FP will immediately auto repost but at the original price instead of the discounted price. Just pointing out to be safe.

Oh, did not know this. Yes the item was 10% off when I purchased.
You may want to call FP to confirm but this had happened to me once. I purchased a handbag that was just discounted but did so too quickly and made a mistake in my checkout process. After I had cancelled, the handbag jumped to the original price. Waiting for weeks for them to discount it again was enough time for me to realize I didn’t need that handbag after all.
