I bought a Dolce & Gabbana wallet at $350 and it turns out to be a 100% fake! Why am I so sure? - Fakes are fakes, from every details. I am a person who like to pay attention to the very details - the poor quality of the leather, the unsmooth zippers, the terrible scent left from shoddy manufacturing (not like the identity scent of Gucci leather products)…
Of course, BTR said every thing they sell are 100% authentic. What makes this worse this that they refused to accept return for the wallet, since it was final sale. I will go to a DG store and have their staffs verified this wallet…

I bought a Burberry sling bag from BYTR, the package arrived fairly quickly, but I am doubting the authenticity of the bag after reading negative reviews about the website. The bag came in nice packaging with tag and dust-bag included, but I am newbie to Burberry so I have no idea whether it is real or not, or how to verify it's authenticity, and I can't return it either. Sadly, it looks like my $300 is down the drain. Think twice before you decided to order from them, $50 of saving is not worth the stress and hassle!

Ya'll should post the items in the appropriate authentication thread here to be positive. If the items are indeed fake, file a chargeback via your CC companies. Pronto. BTR is a total sham of a company, and if they are advertising authentic pieces, that's what you should get. How the heck could you not return something that isn't what you actually paid for!? Shame on this company. :nogood:

casskhoo83 and michael2316,

If you do post those items in the proper forums and find out if they are indeed fake or authentic, will you please reply back to this forum and let us know?

I have a $300 credit and I was going to use it as part of a payment for a designer purse but now I am not so sure if I should... Please let me know what happens.

Just got my pre-owned LV Speedy and it is exactly as shown in the pictures. I am very happy with my purchase and as a rehabber it cleaned up perfectly. Will definitely consider buying from them again for preowned itemsl

Still waiting on my preowned Chanel scarf - should arrive next week.

The shipping time, tho excessive, for both items is/was exactly as described in the facts and questions section of their website.

I see your purse was authenticated as real. Congrats on your new bag. I think the $50 you saved was a deal. :smile1:

Thank you for your input. But where should I post the pics? My purseforum account is not "established" enough to create a new thread. Regarding my DG wallet, it is hard to authenticated only by pics - my skepticism is from (1) the tough feelings of the leather; (2) unsmooth zippers (they are Lampo, but I never seen Lampo zippers like those which actually need a little bit of strength to zip); (3) extremely strong unpleasant scent from the leather. Can someone experienced tell me if the aforementioned can spot a fake DG wallet? The model is Dolce & Gabbana Portafoglio Stampa Dauphine Wallet (SN: DOLB1008680999A6Q78-Z). Since I couldn't post my pics, I found a link with pics of the same model (BTR also uses the same pics of the wallet, even the description is the same) - http://www.offaid.com/product/95722/Dauphine-Zipper-Wallet-In-Black
Thank you!

Most major designer section have an authentication thread started where you can post pictures to. The first page of each thread tells you the format to post your request see the others for examples....

Since DG ddoesn't have its own section post in the general authentication section

Hi alicia10m, quick update, my Burberry sling bag worked out fine. You are welcome to look at some pics, link http://forum.purseblog.com/burberry...ase-read-rules-use-format-post-717899-80.html.

I came across a great deal posted by a fellow TPFer for a BV bag on BtR last week. This thread is making me have buyer's remorse. I keep going back to read more, trying to find some hope but the negatives far far outweigh the positives.

I called 2 days ago planning to cancel my order but then was told the bag had arrived at the warehouse and would be shipped out within 48 hours. I thought I might be one of the few lucky ones that wouldn't have to wait an eternity. Well now more than 48 hours later there's been no update on the website nor email.

I think it's too soon to chargeback, but am wondering what the best course of action would be at this point. It does seem ridiculous that they have taken $2K and will just hold on to it for weeks with no clear delivery date. What should I do? Or can I do?

I have been aggressively calling and emailing them. An email said I would get my shipment "soon" and a call rep told me it would be "shipped out soon." Same run around as monday, so I got my credit card company to call with me on the line this afternoon as well. They just sent me a tracking number: it apparently was shipped out yesterday and is headed to me with an expected delivery date of Saturday. What a nice surprise (though why no one knew that is beyond me as the Fed Ex tracking is clear). They really are rather disorganized (still) but seem to be trying to turn things around!
