Default How do I post pictures?
There is three ways to accomplish posting pictures.

1. Attaching pictures to the tail of your post

You can attach pictures to your post using the Manage Attachments function of the forum. Using this option, your pictures will be displayed as thumbnails on the bottom of the post you attach the images to.

You can find the Manage Attachments button right under the thread/post editor. Scroll down below the Submit Reply/Preview Post buttons and you will find the Additional Options section.

Click on the button and the following window will appear:

You can attach up to a maximum of 10 images per post. Please note that the file size of the images is limited. Make sure you resize and optimize your images before uploading. Once you selected up to 10 images, click on Upload.

The window will show the following message while uploading:

Uploading File(s) - Please Wait

Should your images be too big in file size, you will receive the following error:

Upon successful upload, the window will change to this:

Notice that the amout of upload slots decreases by the number of successfully uploaded images. Optionally, you can click the Remove button by the image(s) you choose to delete.

Once you are done uploading, close this upload window. It is no longer needed.

Simply complete your message in the editor, submit your thread/post and you should see your images attached to your text:

NOTE: The thumbnail preview is currently disabled due to server performance issues. The attached pictures appear as links in text format. Clicking on the links open the attached pictures in a new window.

2. Inline posting of pictures

If you wish you include pictures in your post itself (inline) instead of trailing them at the end of your post, you have to use the following feature:

In the post editor, click on the paperclip icon. If you haven't uploaded any pictures yet in your post, clicking the paperclip will pop the Upload window, as described earlier. Upon uploading the images, close this window.

Clicking on the paperclip icon again, a list of the uploaded images, along with a Manage Attachments link will appear:

Place your mouse cursor at the position within the editor where you want to place a thumbnail of the image uploaded and click on its title.
As a result, you will now see [ ATTACH]xxxxx[ /ATTACH] tags included in your text (where xxxxx denotes the unique number of your uploaded image).

Voila! You can also click on the Manage Attachments link in the paperclip menu to add or remove images.

3. Post pictures from external sources

Some members may prefer to host their pictures at an image hosting service, like Image Shack.

I advise you to please use their resize option to shrink your images down to 640x480 or 800x600 for easier viewing. Once uploaded, copy the Hotlink for forums (1) link and paste it into your post.

The [ img][ /img] tags (without the spaces) are wrapped around the image URL are used to display the image directly on your post. Many websites have hotlinking disabled (the hotlinked images won't show up on our forum)... saving the image(s) on your computer and attaching them using options 1) or 2) is the better choice.

Voila!

Please be aware that unregistered members are able to see your hotlinked pictures, while only registered members can see attached pictures.
