Those aren't serial numbers unique to each bag. From what we've been able to gather, they're more like a date code or season tag

Hi. I have posted our question in the authentication thread and Dreamlet said that it happens when two bags of different colors are having the same serial number. It still shocked me when the two bags came from exactly the same event. Can you asked the one who helped you authenticate your bag for more information?

I think they mislead you with the huge overpricing of the items they sell. They had some nice Crystal Rock tops listed for sale in the $19.00 to 29.00 range that they said were $145.00 retail. What a joke, the tops sell for 19-29 on sale at the Ed Hardy site and regular retail might be up to $39.00. I have noticed this with many other priducts they sell. I myself bought some tops a few months ago but feel I can do better by just doing a regular internet search on the designer and item I want. It seems their customer servuce is not great and there are too many problems in getting your item and returning it if you are not happy. For a company to refuse a return speaks of their business practices.

You need to do your homework and know the prices of things you might be interested in - some original prices are incorrectly stated or inflated so the discount may not be good, but sometimes they have fantastic deals. The Celine bags many tPFers scored a few weeks ago are a good example - they retail for $2400-2800 and BTR was selling them for $1k-1200. This past weekend, they had a Marc Jacobs Stam that retails for $1400 and Mulberry Bayswaters that retail for over $1k for $199! So lately, there have been some really good deals to be had - you just have to be quick and patient. I kept refreshing the page, until a few things sold out, but I did get lucky and was able to put a $800 MJ bag in my cart for $199 (but I ultimately decided to pass)

I have bought a lot of items from BTR over the years and overall, I can generalize my experience as good.
Here are some tips based on my experiences:

I agree with earlier posts that the original/regular price that they state can be inflated vs. what you will find elsewhere online so, do your homework.

If you are considering buying a high end pre-owned watch, I strongly suggest you go to your local authorized retailer and see what they would charge for brand new. With some negotiating, you can get a brand new watch for about the same price as what they are charging for used (I did).

The pre-owned handbags and wallets can be pretty ragged so check the pictures well.
However, my LV from BTR was received in what I consider new condition. I was very pleased.

Customer service has been great from my experience. I had to return an expensive item that said Non-Returnable (I included a letter outlining the issue) and they accepted it no questions asked.

Shipping can take a long time but it is worth it for some of the deals that you get.

Be wary about some of the marketing statements ("Hotel Luxury" for example). I am sure that it comes from the supplier but can be misleading and written on what I consider lower quality items.

A few times, they have oversold items and a couple of weeks later, you get an email saying that the supplier doesn't have enough stock to fill your order. Other similar sites automatically give you a $10 credit for your inconvenience but I find that you have to call BTR to ask for that.
Good luck.

I scored a pair of Un Bout CL's on BTR on sale BNIB. I had no problems. They shipped almost immediately. I refreshed that page about 80 times until my size was available though. I was very pleasantly surprised at my positive experience!

I bought a LV Noe bag from BTR. I also was disturbed that my money was taken from my credit card right away. Then comes shipping. THIS was a problem. Like everyone says it takes a long time. I got my LV Noe bag, it is authentic BUT I will NEVER order from them again. I have the same exact questions as everyone else. If I want pre-owned. I can go to a REALLY nice consignment shop an most likely find the same if NOT BETTER. My advise? DON'T waste your time with them. I think they could be a LIL shady.

What everyone said: UNSUBSCRIBE NOW. Total scam. I bought a Buddha bag a month ago and get this vague "It's on back order from the warehouse. I don't want to give you a date and find out it isn't here by that date"

And of course they've had my money a month +. Arg.

I just unsubscribed to their site. I don't need the ****e that desperately. I will just patiently wait for what I ordered and be done with them.

I had placed an order with them for a pre-owned LV speedy on 9/26. Stupid me should have checked to see if it was available somewhere else before I bought it. I found the same item on Fashionphile for the same price and I would get it much sooner than BTR. I immediately called and cancelled my order. This was like within 10 min after I placed my order. Well, they already charged my credit card. It's now 3 weeks later and I'm still waiting for my refund. I've called them 4 times since then asking about the status of my refund. They keep giving me the run around, saying it's been processed and it will take 3-5 business days. But each time that I call, it's been from that day. UGH. They all say some BS about how it wasn't processed correctly and they had to manually push it throw. It's not a freakin baby being birth!!! They are crooks!!! DO NOT order from them. I'm not sure what I should do but keep harassing them. Can't they be reported to the better business bureau or consumer affairs or something?!

I recently put an order to get my first balenciaga city bag, somehow I realized that they don't provide the authentic card that they usually come with the bag. I wonder why? Does it mean they are selling the fake ones? I called in and tried to cancel my order which is not shipped yet, but customer service said they are promising anything to confirm the cancel request. Please help me, now I really question about their authenticity of the bag.
