I agree! I don't think I've paid for shipping in a very long time. I think this is part of the reason why I stay away from the deal sites. They charge for shipping and the return policy is crap.
another warning: THEY TAKE FOREVER TO SHIP.

and they don't let you know it until you've already purchased. i got a phone call message from a BTR rep who did not even refer to the item i purchased but let me know especially that it would take 2-3 weeks to receive my order, adding that i would be getting a tracking number so i would know exactly where it was. so far - i ordered 12/27 and it is 1/5 and the tracking number id's this item as "a label has been created. when this item reaches our facility, we can update you"

I was wondering if anyone has ever purchased a prada bag (or any new designer bag) from "Beyond the Rack" www.beyondtherack.com

Every so often (like for the past few days) they have used and new designer bags at great prices but as much as I would love to buy one, I worry about them being authentic. For example, they have a whole bunch of prada saffiano lux bags on sale right now (most are sold out but you can still view pics of them) You can have a look here:
https://www.beyondtherack.com/event/sku/45014/PRABN1801RRD?filter[size]=&sortBy=&category=0

I would love to buy one but i wonder how is it possible that they can sell brand new prada bags at these prices? And can anyone tell if they are authentic or "superfakes" based on the very few pictures they provide?? I dont even think a flash sale website like this is willing to provide additional pictures in order to get a proper authentication- and their return policy is such that you can only return if there is manufacturer defect.

Given that there seem to be a lot of "superfake" saffiano lux totes (among other things) floating around on even the most reputable of sites, i am very cautious. So it would be great to know what you all think of think of this site. Please share your thoughts and experiences in buying prada (or even other brands as they have balenciaga, ysl etc etc on sale too right now) from this seller here and enlighten me/us who have wondered about this site....

I clicked the link, but you have to sign up so I passed on it. I can tell you that I DEFINITELY would not recommend buying Prada from there for the reasons you already mention, the most important being their lousy return policy.

Lately some historically reputable sellers and resellers have been caught selling Super Fakes. The good companies take them down immediately.

Ladies, PLEASE buy your Prada from Prada. It's the only way you'll be 100% certain of having an authentic bag. If you can't afford to buy from Prada, save up your money or find a designer more in line with your budgets. Trust me on this...

Can't be said enough.

I bought a burberry wallet about 2-3 years ago from Beyond the rack. I have being one of their first customers and used to order a lot from them. I wouldn't recommend them anymore. They have crappy delivery system, it takes so long to get anything. Their price is most of the time not competitive especially on brand names. I'm ok with my burberry wallet and I don't think it's a fake but I did question it at first as the quality of the item was not very impressive. As you said, crappy customer service... There's a lot of other place you can take your business, I received great customer service from hautelook (I'm not related with them in any way though I wish...lol..) good luck in finding what you want.

I've done ok with Balenciaga from BTR (sometimes the prices are too good to pass up!) but like others have mentioned, I wouldn't buy Prada or anything that is heavily super-faked. BTR also had a bad problem where the picture of the item and the description totally dont match sometimes, and you would never notice unless you knew more about the item you are trying to buy. I've only bought expensive items from them twice, and both times there were some issues (not with the actual item, but with receiving an item that was different from what I thought I would be getting). One time worked out in my favour so it was a happy surprise. The second time just annoyed me, but took the item back with no problems (even though it was a final sale) because it was their mistake.

They do tend to sell a lot of pre-owned designer bags, and sometimes those bags are lumped in with the brand new ones as part of one big event... so gotta watch for that too. BTR is really only worth it if you're willing to put up with the wait times and their kind of crappy return policies.

I recently made my first order on BTR. I ordered a pair of Ray Ban aviators for half off! They were delivered to my house within less than a week. Their customer service was so great, I've since made 3 other orders. Like anything, you just have to be a little careful. Yes, sometimes their delivery takes longer, because they are receiving the product from another warehouse first. :smile1:

I've made a purchase from BTR. It was for MAC cosmetics. After reading both good and bad reviews I decided to try it myself. Products took about almost 2 week's to come in.. I apparently bought the same blush my sister had and when I compared the color, it was very different. . I called them they apologized and I sent the products back, refunded my money even when it said "nonrefundable". So I'm assuming that the products they're selling are fake? Be careful..

I have bought a pre-owned Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 last year from Beyond the Rack. I also just bought a Keepall 55 from there as well. I have asked numerous times and they say that all of their items are 100% authentic and they have in-house authenticators as well.

In terms of the Louis Vuitton items, they said that they get the items from the company called LXR Canada https://www.lxrco.com/ I contacted them and they guarentee their items are authentic and also have their own in-house authenticators before they send items to Beyond the Rack.

The reason why I buy from there is that they are Canadian so I don't have to pay the duties and border fees. Also their shipping is like $9.99 which is like 100x cheaper than other luxury goods sites.

The only problem is that they aren't a specialist site for luxury goods so they don't really understand the importance of posting lots of photos for us to authenticate items. For example, I tried recently for members here to authenticate my keepall 55 before I bought it but all of the required photos weren't available on the site so I couldn't get it authenticated on here before I bought it.....fingers crossed!

Other items that BTR is good for are sunglasses, Hunter boots, Uggs, luggage sets, Hudson jeans, JBrand jeans, etc.

I just received my Beyond the Rack order. After reading this thread, and multiple negative online reviews about this website, I was bracing myself for a terrible shopping experience. I'm glad (and very relieved) to report that I didn't have anything to worry about after all. I got exactly what I ordered, and my item took a little over two weeks to arrive.

For those of you who like detail, here's a timeline of my experience:

Background: I live in Canada. I had $70 worth of referral credits, which I used towards this purchase.

August 25: I get an email saying that Beyond the Rack has a deal on Longchamp Le Pliage totes. This is the first really interesting (to me) deal that I've seen on BtR. Since I have referral credits, I decide to take a chance and place an order for a "Large Le Pliage Shoulder Bag in Red". BtR was selling this bag for $129.99. It doesn't really seem like much of a deal, but after using up my credits, my grand total (including tax and shipping) is CAD$71.38. I figure I can't lose much.

August 28: The deal ends. I receive an order confirmation email, which says that I will receive another email once my order is shipped. No timeline is given. Based on what people in this thread have said, I'm expecting a loooooooong wait.

September 6: Another email. "Your order has shipped from our Montreal Distribution Centre. In 3-4 business days, it will arrive at the Canada Post Shipping Hub. At that point your tracking number will become active and you'll be able to follow your order's progress to your door. Once a tracking number is active, Canada Post ship times range from 1-4 business days, depending on your location." Cool. I see that a shipping label has been created. I keep an eye on tracking number for a few days, but no change occurs.

September 11: Email #3. "Your order has arrived at the Canada Post Shipping Hub, so you can expect delivery in 1-4 business days". My order actually arrives on the same day :D

At this point, I was still quite nervous because of all the people who were unsatisfied with the quality of their items, or just flat out received the wrong items. So I opened the box, and was please to see ...

Free samples! A pleasant surprise. I had no idea these would be included.

I'm not a Longchamp expert, but the tote looks authentic. I'll be posting better pics when I ask for authentication help in the Longchamp forum.

Would I order from BtR again? Probably not. I signed up for BtR years ago, and this is the first time I've been interested enough in a deal to order. If it wasn't for my $70 in referral credits, I wouldn't have participated in this deal either. Correct me if I'm wrong, but $129.99 is not that far off from regular retail price. I'm pretty sure you'd be able to find Le Pliage totes at that price point on sale at traditional brick and mortar retailers. Overall though, I had a good experience. If you're in Canada, I think you have a better chance of getting what your order within a reasonable time frame.

I purchased an item from them and the shipping time was OK (not exaggeratedly long, but not quick, considering that I live in the same city in which the warehouse is located in). The problem that did arise, however, was with customer service giving me the run-around once I contacted them to disclose an issue I was having with the 500$ jacket I purchased from their website. Initially, I was told I would be receiving a credit card credit in 2-3 days after they'd received the returned item (which I'd gone in person to bring back). I find out, three weeks after sending back the item and constantly calling the Customer Service department to see what was going on with my credit, that instead of giving me my refund, they gave me an IN STORE CREDIT. At first, I figured it was an error from their end, but TWO WEEKS LATER and after an email confirmation that I would be receiving this credit on my credit card, I still don't. I keep calling and I keep getting told that "the supervisor isn't available" and then get greeted by a VERY RUDE secretary who doesn't give you the light of day......who runs this company? No one wants to give you answers, no one wants to issue the refund I was promised (MY MONEY I WAS ENTITLED TO), no one is re-reachable...It really is a joke. It was my first time purchasing from them, and certainly my last. When a company treats its customers this way, it is a big indication of just how little they value your business.

OH NO! I just placed a huge order for the Prada Cuir as well as the Celine Phantom, and after reading this thread, I am SO nervous! After closer inspection, I noticed the measurements listed for the Prada are EXTREMELY off, and that it doesn't have the word "Cuir" anywhere in the title. It seems to be a lot bigger. Could this be a completely different bag? I thought I knew my Prada.

I tried posting these two links in the AUTHENTICATE THIS! forum, but for some reason, it wouldn't let me start a new thread. Could you guys possibly help me out? I'm afraid I just waisted over $3k. :nogood:

I bought a Chanel pin from them 5 years ago, just when I was new on TPF. The pin went missing for a while. It turned up recently, and now that I know something about the brand and what to look for in authentic pieces, I realize it is a fake. It wasn't cheap-totally my fault for not knowing that I can't trust these places. But still not good that this can happen.
