Being Banned From Coach Stores - Did You Read?

I haven't dealt with Coach as much as other labels when it comes to selling, but I have bought quite a bit of Coach for myself as its quite affordable.

I think its rather immature to blame resellers and be happy about Coach banning them. Perhaps these people should take a class in basic economics. If they are so concerned about prices, then perhaps they should call up their favorite label's and ask them as to why they are making as much as 70% net profits (I read it on the Economist). A lot of styles don't get to all outlets evenly and resellers are making them available on a global level on ebay.

If at all, the resellers are making Coach a bunch of money. Coach is not really known for exclusivity and is more renowned for affordable, quality luxury items and impeccable customer service.

This news disappoints me.

There is a seller on the EBay Clothing Board (that's where she posted it) that just got banned. I could see why (hope it isn't anyone here).

She had 10 pages of FB on NWT items since Dec. - most in the most recent months. There are 25 FB's per page. That's 250 NWT items.

That is a big, huge sign. Even if you are alternating outlets. The purchases go under your name & it would be fairly obvious you aren't purchasing 250 or more items in 5 months for yourself... And you have to figure that she has more stock not listed yet (or not sold - I did not look at her listings).

Hope it isn't anyone here. This is just a huge "Here's Your Sign" as the comedian would say.

Then there are sellers who still sell a ton more than that but they are getting around the ban, somehow...

wow! 250NWT items. yikes! I suddenly feel better, I sell a few Coach things per month - less than 10 on average. I also sell lots of clothes and other designer purses.

next time I go to the Coach oulet to buy for myself I'm going to pay cash and give an old address, I just want to be careful for a bit, I've bought a lot of Coach lately, for myself, for gifts, and a few for ebay. I would cry and cry and cry if I got banned, simply because I love Coach and would hate to not be able to buy them!

Hi Noshoe !
Yes, I checked the feedback too, she has been buying multiples of items, way more than the "allowed" 3 of the same. So many dog collars too !
It's possible that the multiple items raised a red flag.
I'm getting a little skeered to shop at the outlets, even though I'm mindful of the" Limits."
Queen

I can definitely see that Coach is doing what is necessary to make their brand and image more "exclusive". Based on recent reports, we all know that Coach is taking serious steps to control how their products are distributed for sale.

Very soon, we will see the end of Coach being sold at stores like Costco, Target (remember that fiasco) and other places of the like. This is why I am not surprised to see Coach ban people (bulk resellers) from their stores. They are another distribution avenue that Coach has no control over.

I'm glad to see Coach doing this personally. I would rather for them to ban bulk resellers than to close down their outlet stores - wouldn't you?

TOTALLY agree with you. I went nuts during the last PCE and then returned a few items cause I just can't make up my dang mind, and I'd be SO upset if they banned me just cause I'm indecisive and buy lots of stuff.

Yeah Queen. I didn't even look for duplicates. She just had so much stuff. I feel bad for her. At least they banned her, discretely.

What's with so many sellers not knowing until they get to the store though? I thought someone said they do send the letter. I surely would rather get it at home.

I always limit my duplicates (problem is it is so easy to list duplicates) even if buying from more than 1 store.

The last duplicates I bought alot of were the Madisons & Zoeys & I haven't listed them yet because ebay has been flooded with them since Jan or Feb.
