i simply cannot conceive of falling madly in love with a bag, carrying it to death and then...having to give it back??? what??? without the benefit of at least selling it for a few dollars on ebay? and the prices to borrow a bag...damn. even their outlet prices don't make any dang sense half the time. BBORS...disappoints me.

i think the prices that they charge to "borrow" these bags are insane!! to borrow authentic Hermes Vintage Crocodile Birkin Handbag -

Member Preferred Price:
$1,632.00/week or $4,800.00/month

Non-Member Guest Price:
$1,690.00/week or $6,010.00/month

:wtf:

$6000 a month!!! that is crazy. put that money in the bank and you could buy one in a few months! why give it to someone else???

OUT.

OF.

CONTROL.
:nono:  for those prices, if you saved that amount every month for a year you'd have an Hermes bag for EACH SEASON of the year. OF YOUR OWN!!!

Well they didn't offer me 80-85% of retail value. I had a brand new with tag Michael Kors that I paid $198 for and they only offered me $45 for it. What a rip off- I could sell it on ebay for much higher!

Have any of you ladies ever thought "Well I want this new bag, but I have spent so much on a lot of bags, I don't want the bag" or something atleast like that! Or maybe you've been longing for a Chanel purse, but you can't quite bite the $3,000 for it? Chanels are usually $90 - $120 a week. So basically you can use the brand new bag, for like up to $300 for prob 2 - 3 weeks. xD I found this "new" website (I'm not even quite sure if it's new or not, or if I'm just behind in news). Hopefully this isn't old news since this is the first time I have heard of it.

IMO saving up for your own designer bag seems like a better investment in the long run
and how do you know what kind of condition these bags are in when you rent them? i can imagine the horror these bags have been through...

Selling a bag to them is pretty horrific. I don't know if that whole thing about them giving you top dollar is true b/c if it is, then consignment shops are unbelievably bad. They offered me $55 for a $695 Gustto in excellent condition!

They are not the best when it comes to offers, however I have heard yoogis offers are very fair, perhaps you should try them!

^ That is a lot of money... I can do a lot of things with that money. Why borrow a bag when you can just buy the bag? I mean you are still spending money and at least it's your bag. That's still a lot of money. :wtf:

I don't understand it. The prices are ridiculous! $40 a month for a Michael Kors bag? $40/month for Coach sunglasses? Visit a TJ Maxx, people! Maybe if the prices were much lower (like at least 50%) I could see it.

And the renting of used earrings... just no.

Personally I'd rather own a $30 vinyl Kathy van Zeeland brand new from the store, than a used-up Birkin for $1600/week.

Like most posters here, I'd rather save up for a bag instead of renting. I can delay my gratification long enough to save up for money to buy a new bag, instead of splurging on a rental (note: they seem like splurges to me because my tastes tend towards the likes of Chanel and Hermes).

I guess im not the kind of person to rent a bag. I hate borrowing clothes even from my friends so renting a bag? I think I just would not be comfortable with it knowing that its no really mine. I can do whatever I want with my bags but u cant with those. Its kind of like librairy books, you have to give them back so u cant throw them on the floor ( no no I dont do that to my bags its just an example :p) .
