Bag borrow or steal?

What do you think of Bag, Borrow or Steal?

  • No thanks, I'm saving my money for my OWN bag.

  • Yay, lots of illicit bag flings, with no serious commitment...sign me up!

  • What? I have no idea/ don't care.

I think it's really strange. I prefer ownership and don't generally buy used things, so BBS appeals to those with the opposite of my preferences. Having said that, if it were cheaper, I could see how it might be useful to a lot of people.

I would just rather own my own bag. Please don't take offense, but all I can think about is germs, or what if someone stuffed a snotty tissue in there until they could throw it out properly.....goofy stuff like that, that keeps me from even thinking to borrow a bag.

I agree with all previously discussed things and also wouldn't you hate having to run to the post office every time you have to return it. Also what happens if a mark appears are you responsible and do you then have to buy it. I wouldn't take the risk.

Just buy the bag, use it until you get tired of it and then sell it. Even if you lose money on it the money you lose is probaly less than you would pay to rent it from Bag, Borrow or Steal

Trust me, when you are amongst your people, like here at TPF, it's pretty tough to come across as offensive, and Lord knows, you wouldn't believe what lurks at the bottom of my Chanel tote (a tub of ricotta cheese, anyone?); so you actually made a pretty good point that I hadn't considered.

Like everyone else has already said, the price is really high. It doesn't make sense to me to spend $250 a month, when that can go towards buying my own bag. I do occassionally check out their outlet for some used bags. There are a few brans that I like, but they aren't worth paying full price for IMO.

When I first heard about bag, borrow or steal, I was really excited about the idea. But then when I found out how much it cost, I realized that I would rather buy a few bags that I really love instead.

I am a total germaphobe so leasing a handbag is out of the question for me, even if it is for a dollar a month. Used up snotty tissues, diapers, drink bottles with spit all over the top, not to mention where some women set their bags (like right next to the toilet).... No thanks!

I'm going to try it out within the next couple weeks. Have any of you actually tried out the services?

When it comes to people like me-- who constantly buy and sell- this makes sense... I don't have to waste time and money selling the bags I grow tired of, and I'm a fickle buyer/consumer who needs change in their handbags all the time....weirdo huh! haha~~~~

so- we'll see~! My most confusing part is the LV vachetta? know how it gets all grimey? What's considered 'normal' wear and tear? is the bag I'm getting going to be horribly soiled? To me it's interesting but I hope my curiosity doesn't bit me in the butt!! haha!!!
