Bag borrow or steal?

Im not registered with them so i couldn't get access to the bit they sell...do they sell used bags? can you buy them brand new ?

They sell both, from what I've seen. You can choose to see only brand new bags, or also the used ones. But frankly I never found any of the bags I was looking for on sale...

I'm also a member but never rent as the cost ends up being as much or more than outright buying-- even if you elect to rent and then purchase.

The outlet now contains some new/never used bags, as well as used. Always worth browsing through for a bargain.

There is a similar site in Canada www.shouldercandy.com. When it first came out here I heard about it and checked out the website out of curiousity. For me though, I like to own the bags out right and the cost of borrowing could get quite high. The Canadian version also has bags for sale if anyone is interested.

At the prices they're "renting" them at, I'd MUCH rather buy the bag then borrow it.

i would never borrow from them...i'd be wayyyy too nervous something bad would happen!!! plus, the prices seem a bit extreme...i'd much rather save up.

For me, I like knowing that the gorgeous bag on my shoulder is all MINE.
So I'd never subscribe to something like this.

I've looked at the ones that they are selling before, but don't think that they're prices are that great. They overinflate the retail price of some of the bags to make it look like they are giving a bigger discount than they really are. Most of the bags for sale can be bought cheaper brand new with codes or are older bags that were on sale for cheaper prices at some point.

When I first heard about BBS, I was really excited about the idea. But after looking at the prices, I decided I would be better off saving that money to buy my own bag.

I would want my OWN bag that I can keep for myself. I also don't like knowing that something has been worn by many different people. It takes the whole fun out of gong out and buying designer stuff. Besides, I think I'd be heartbroken every time I had to return a bag I liked.

I also think the renting fees are ridiculously expensive. I'd rather save up that money over a long period of time so I can actually OWN a bag.

It works the same way Blockbuster does I suppose. I mean, I'm sure the bags start OFF new, but then they get rented out. Once someone returns the bag, another person rents it.

They even have wait lists.

Not worth it. I looked at the site a few times and it seems really expensive. The few times I looked at it anything I was interested in was rented with a wait list. A wait list to rent a bag...thats crazy.
