renting a bag for that amount or any amount for that matter, to me is ridiculous and pretentious....... i would rather save up and buy the bag i really like.......

Hello All,
Thanks to everyone who responded to my purse decision thread, great and helpful answers.

I just wanted to ask quickly, has anyone ever tried Bag, Borrow or Steal? Is it really worth it? What's the deal with it, is it expensive?

Let me know!!

THANKS! ;)

I think it's a waste too. I would rather save up and put that money towards my own purse. I also wouldn't want to use a bag many other people have used.

For a couple of weeks of using a used bag, you could buy your own brand new bag, so for me, waste. If you really wanted to try a bag for a week to decide if you want it, I guess it's okay, but I have heard of some people on here saying they have seen people "rent" the bags so they can use it as a status symbol. (I'm not saying people on here do that!)

I agree the prices are too high. For about a month's worth of rent you can buy a lot of the bags.

I've looked at some of their used bags that are being sold but they wouldn't give me much more than "they are in like-new condition" so I didn't bother.

Ya know, I could never give a bag back...I would be depressed for weeks...with that said...I would save the money and buy the bag so I could keep it forever and ever and ever....:tender:

When I first got into designer bags I tried it and loved it. However, if you're going to do it, don't send the bag back through your post office because it takes forever to get there and you're likely to get charged an extra week/month (whichever you signed up for)

Now I think it's a waste, since I realize that paying 30 dollars a week for a bag is ridiculous. Save up that money and get yourself a nice one that you can keep! In some aspects I do think it's good; some girls tire of bags very easily and need a change..but that's what Ebay's for I suppose.

Their customer service is very friendly and the bags I borrowed were always in good conidition, but I won't do it anymore, I'll just save up for something I want :smile1:

Hey i stumbled upon a website called bagborroworsteal.com where you can pay weekly or monthly for a bag you want. and you can buy it if you really like it. i think thats how works..not sure

anyway i want to have your views on it, have anyone done it before? do you think its better to save up for the bag you want rather than "borrowing" it???

:smile1:

Hi Pekie, I'm a member there but mainly because I wanted access to the bags they sell. I think that for *those* prices borrowing a bag is totally a loss. I prefer saving up for the bag(s) of my dreams!
