It's authentic. I think it is about 8 x 8 x 2 1/2 inches. Good catch on noticing the differences! Some of the busier plants had more than one stamp, which accounts for the differences.

ETA: We don't require dimensions for authentication, just for identification, and then only on bags that don't have a style number in the creed.
Thank you. I wasn't sure if this belonged on the authenticate this thread or here, especially as I was looking for editorial, and lack of dimensions. Good to know they are not needed. I am amazed at and appreciate what you do.There are literally no rules (except maybe that serial starting with NT are always fake)

AND that Coach never made handbags, wallets or briefcases in Korea. They DID make a few clothing items there, but Korea creeds in the above items are always fake.

Did Coach ever switch around the order of the first three letters/numbers in 1994 to early 2000s serial numbers? For example, year/month/factory-code instead of month/year/factory-code?

I am new and working my way through all the many amazing guides and posts here, but was wondering about this. Apologies if I have missed the answer somewhere else.

Yes they did - not deliberately though, scrambled serial prefixes were just a pretty common plant mistake, especially in non-US plants.

And BTW, it IS mentioned at least once in the Salearea Guides.

I hope this is the right thread to ask this question.
I am considering the purchase of a Pony Express, big expense for me so I have a question that could help me.

The ones I have seen on Google, some have the strap that shows the "suede" part, and others is leather both sides. The ones with leather on both sides (like the ones in the borrowed pictures), unless the straps were changed and are not the original ones, would they be less valuable than the others? TIA

In my opinion, I don't think either is more valuable than the other as long as both are straps made by Coach. The style is so expensive these days anyway. The catalog pictures I have show the kind with suede on the back but they are from the early 80s. It is possible that Coach changed it later but I have no catalog documentation to prove that. Coach also allowed customers to switch out straps when they bought the bag. The leather on both sides is a little less soft. If I were buying it for myself, I would compare the strap drops. Some people lament that the strap on a pony is too short to wear crossbody.

Thank you for your input whateve. I have spent a lot of time looking at pictures, and to me it looks like there are too many with the two side leather strap to think that they were not Coach, if from other bags switched by the buyers that was my concern. I see already that the strap is not big enough for crossbody, and you are right, they are so hard to find (affordable to an extent), that I guess is not worth waiting for the older type to show up.

You really helped me, thank you.

I shop a lot for resaleable items including purses on the shopgoodwill.com site. I've noticed that some Goodwill stores guarantee authenticity of purses, but others are silent on the subject. Should I assume that nothing I buy there has been authenticated, just to be safe?

What you should assume (even though they use Entrupy for some items) is that even if authenticated, it needs to be double checked. Entrupy errors are frequent.

Hi, I was told from a reseller that my bag cannot be authentic by Entrupy due to too new. I'm shocked. This bag is I bought from boutique and handcarry back home by myself. Is that true? I never heard about Entrupy cannot authentic due to bag too new...
