Does authentic Coach Stewardess bag have a front "window" (picture below)? View attachment 4932195

Some Stewardess Bags made for a specific airline had the window on the pocket, but we'd need to see the creed and especially any stamp on the strap close to the end to be sure. Just having a window can never prove it's authentic. What's so hard about making a fake with a window?

There's no way to prove anything is authentic without at least a creed photo and a link to where it's being sold. Please post that information and additional photos of those details in the AUTHENTICATE THIS COACH thread when you have them. Follow the "READ ME" directions at the top of each ATC page.

Which year did Coach introduced Legacy Rambler? I absolutely love the leather on older, thick, high quality, made in NYC bags. Want to know what would be the most "senior" girl when I am looking for her in the second market. Thank you!

The original Rambler was first made around 1986 but it didn't have Legacy in the title. The bag that people sometimes call the Legacy Rambler, a completely different style, is actually called Rambler's Legacy, and was introduced around 1998. You won't find any NYC bags in the Rambler's Legacy style. In my experience, many of the bags made after Coach opened other plants have even nicer leather than NYC bags, up until around 2003. Below are pictures of the two styles.

Dear @whateve! Thank you for your detailed answer! It make sense now why I was not able to find any 9061 Rambler made in NYC. LOL

That is some great information. Even though its an old post but I'm new to the world of Coach since my wife is a collector. I'm learning new stuff every day. One question I have though is I've noticed 2 different letter spacing of the "New York" under the signature "Coach" tag line normally seen on some older purses. Especially ones without the horse and carriage logo. Not sure if they are both correct?
Thanks.

Thank you so much. The pink one is the one that i own just trying to figure out what that one is called (model and color) and if that is called saffiano leather. This wallet has puzzled me for way too much time that i spent cause i just could'nt find many in that color or font and style. Thanks so much again for your help. I attached a few pics if you care to take a look.

Hi, I don’t know if what I’m about to discuss is allowed here..

I am actually curious and eager to learn more about the authenticity of coach, especially the newer style (after 2016) because there are tons of counterfeit items being sold here in my country and claimed to be authentic. I found in one of the local coach group there is list of the creed plant number matched with the country where it was made from.

And one day, I found a purse posted in that group that claimed to be fake by the member because the creed says No. A1832-F29683 made in myanmar (burma) meanwhile according to group 32 is a code for philippines. They said that plant code for bags made in myanmar is 23, 66, and 97 and it should be written with the word burma at first.

I personally have seen some bags with plant code 32 and indeed it has made in the philippines and I also have a bag made in burma-myanmar with the plant code 66. However, this A1832-F29683 bag is very convincing if we look at the creed, stitching, even the coach carrier logo.

Any comments of explanation will be greatly appreciated because I don’t want to have a misperception about this plant code and would like to know if the country list turns out to be wrong. Thank you

I (personally) don't spend a lot of time studying plant codes, especially the newer numeric ones.

When I authenticate, I study the details of the item itself taking into consideration all elements of it. If there's a contradiction in plant code vs. serial number or made in tag, I take note of it, but tthat's not my primary concern. If the bag is fake, there are going to be other more obvious problems.

What I do know is that my experience has shown that sellers in some countries have so many fakes and some of the fakes are so close that the safest way for a buyer in one of those countries to buy is to find a seller in a safer country. While it may give the appearance that I'm blackballing a country, that isn't the intent. There are very well some honest and authentic sellers everywhere but the history and number of mirror fakes make buying in some countries too risky.

(As for your comment about Burma, Burma became Myanmar over 30 years ago. I'm not 100% sure but I can't recall ever having seen "Burma" on a made in tag on an authentic Coach bag.)
