answers to AUTHENTICITY questions!!!

TPF may earn a commission from merchant affiliate

I think the main reason they use the F in the creed is to prevent someone returning it to a boutique. It's also why they stamp items transferred to outlet stores with a bullseye.
Unless something has changed, I believe you can return outlet items to FP stores but you have to get merchandise credit. You can't get a refund.

Is that no longer the case?

I'm not sure if I am in the right place, so please forgive me. I tried to find the answer to my question by searching but got nothing. Did Coach ever begin putting edging along the inside slip pocket of the Classic Shoulder Bag? I have two others that are older without it. Other than this everything appears the same. Thank you!

Yes. It's something they did for most bags in the 90s and later.

I don't recall that particular mistake but Coach DOES make mistakes. They don't happen often.

I posted an error here where "craftsmanship" was spelled as "crartsmanship:"
https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...-questions-here.355205/page-775#post-31058210

And here was a plaque that was attached upside-down:

ETA: Can you post a clearer pic of the creed as well as more pictures of the bag?

I have this example of a backwards R in "CHARACTERISTIC" in a New York City creed:

Here’s more photos of the bag. I will try to get a better photo of the creed.

Thanks anyway - sorry to bother - I googled it and found more information then would ever be on this board
You might be surprised. There's a lot of information available here that you won't find by Googling the serial numbers. Many 90s Coach styles were faked. The best way to confirm that yours are authentic would be to post them on the AT Coach thread.
