Hi! I acquired this Willis yesterday from my local thrift store and had it authenticated in the AT thread. I forgot to ask for guidance on how to identify what year the bag was made. I just finished re-reading the Salearea guide and it mentions that factory code letters ran out so Coach switched to numbers. Was this bag made in 2004, with a factory code 3? I appreciate your time and expertise!

Yes, you are correct, but I do not know in which year they started (I am not one of the experts),

I'm going through my creed picture files and came across this one. Can anyone tell me if it's authentic or fake? Compared to other L6C creeds I have, the serial number font doesn't look right. Thanks!

Yes, and I can't remember where I got the picture, probably somewhere on tPF, but I can't find it.

Thanks for confirming it's fake. I'll update my files.
I know where you got it. It's mine. When I first bought it, it was deemed authentic. The leather didn't feel right. Then I found indentations on the turnlock. This was months later, when it was too late to return. I still have it. I used the male part of the turnlock on a rehab.

It was authenticated (as genuine) on TPF?!? I hope that wasn't my mistake!

Ah, OK, thanks for solving that.

I'm sorry it happened to you, but at least you got some use out of it.

Hi all!

I have two general questions that I’ve searched a bit but found some conflicting info on.

1. Is J8H always fake, or only usually?

2. I saw a reference to a ‘Coach for Kirkland’ bag on eBay. Is this a thing?

Thanks!

1. Some guides suggest that J8H might be a valid prefix, but now we know that the H plant code wasn't used in 1998. At least that is what we know believe, until we see something that makes us think otherwise.
2. I've never heard of Coach for Kirkland but they do sell Coach bags at Costco. I haven't looked at them but I don't believe the Coach bags sold there have any Kirkland markings. Coach bags aren't shown in the Kirkland signature section of Costco's website.
