Hi there, I was just wondering if anyone has any tips on protecting light leather Rocco's? I just purchased my Rocco in meringue, and I'm paranoid I'm going to stain it! Hi all,
I have a large marion in smoke grey which has a fair bit of suede on it. As much as I want to use the bag everyday, it will start to rain a lot where i live in the coming months. Anyone that's experienced with caring for suede items can recommend how I prep my bag for the rain?

Apple Care products are mentioned a lot on PF. If you scroll all the way down past all of the designer forums there's actually a forum on the care and maintenance of handbags. I just found it myself, never thought to scroll down further than the designers I was interested in :shame:. As a fellow Vancouverite I'll be looking to protect my bags before the monsoons start-if we get them this year! Pretty darn dry and hot for this part of the country right now!!!

There's a lot of info on care and maintenance on regular leather goods but not so much on suede items. I'm kind of scared to treat the suede because they tend to darken after spraying repellant on them

Hey, you're in Vancouver...call Ace of Suedes! They're the absolute go to for suede and leather cleaning they should be able to advise you (they're on Venables, 604-254-1621). Closed today I think.

Now that's just too weird:p although I guess if you're paying that kind of money for a bag...I read a blurb from one woman who sends her Hermes to a bag spa every time she uses it. She's got waaay more time and money than I do! :laugh:

Longtime lurker on the AW forum and I'm thinking of buying a Marion soon.. I've been in love with this bag for so long that I cannot resist the urge any longer. I just wanted to ask those who have and know this bag.. any advice? Pros and Cons perhaps? The price is pretty steep so I'd like to make sure what I'm getting myself into.

the corners of the push lock scratches quite easily so i would try to avoid painted hardware for the marions and the push lock can be a little tricky to close with one hand when the bag is kind of empty

Thank you very much for replying! I am very appreciative of your advice! So would this mean the rose gold would be one of those HWs that scratch easily? :)

Since thr hardware on the marions are polished, they all scratch easier than the brass hardware that's on the Rockies and roccos; however rosegold is a painted hardware, the rosegold color may eventually chip off and reveal the base metal color
