Got the inside-out matte Darcy from the Outnet, took her out for 1 use and the strap broke where it looped around the buckle!!! Really?!? Looks like they did such a lousy job gluing and stitching the leather around the buckle that now there isn't even enough leather left to work with! I am so upset.

I have an older model Darcy from a few years back and I've used it many many times without any problem.

Is AW's quality going downhill?

[Going to call the outnet tomorrow to see what they can do. they'd better not tell me to deal with AW myself. ]

Hi! I was just wondering how I would go about repairing the torn piping on this Rocco? Is it even possible? Would a leather repairer be able to?

Also interested if anyone has any tips to getting the black studs back to their original colour - paints, dyes, replacements, etc?

Sorry I must sound like such a newb, but I would love to prolong the life of my bag.

My new black pebbled leather rocco is very dry and thirsty, do you think Apple leather care (conditioner) will be okay to use on it? I'm seeing mixed reviews on it- some people say it removes colour, and some people say it works fine :[

hi, apple leather care should be fine to use on your AW bags. a lot of TPFers use it on their balenciaga bags and thats how i learned about apple products.

i also used apple leather conditioner on my balenciaga city and no issue at all! so im sure it will have no issue with AW either!

the one removes color could be the cleaner, make sure you use the apple leather conditioner, NOT the cleaner, the cleaner is a bit harsh for lambskin leathers.

when using the apple conditioner, dont apply too much at a time, only apply a thin layer first and then second layer if needed.

Hoping that someone will be able to help me regarding care for a Metallic ‘Carbon’ coloured Rockie bag?

I’ve never owned a metallic bag before and I'm really not sure of the best way to care for the coated lambskin. I have the Collonil waterproofing spray that I’ve used on other bags, but
a) I'm a little worried about using it on metallic anyway
b) Less than 10 uses in I've noticed some of the metallic has rubbed off on the handles and back of the bag that sits against me - is there a spray to protect against this as well as rain?

Also, the leather feels a bit dry and I don’t know if normal conditioner is safe. I’m in the UK, which has a bearing on which products are available to me (i.e. I can’t seem to find Apple conditioner online?).

Hoping for help so that I can resume using my bag! I was totally in love, but it’s lost some of the shine (literally and metaphorically!) now that I don’t feel able to use it :nogood:

Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

I found Apple conditioner on eBay and Amazon. You might want to try looking there :)

I'm not suggesting you do this (or do it at your own risk!), but my black Rocco had the same issue, but the rip was a lot smaller. I just took out black thread and a needle and sewed over the piping. It looked brand new! My Rocco was laser cut leather and not pebbled, so you might not get the same result as I did.

Please help anyone who has the rockie can let me know how they puff up their bag because everytime i carry it one of the side deflates and i want it to look like its round. I tried stuffing it everytime im not using the bag but the shape is still deflated :o..thank you in advance.

Anyone have an AW bag in "peroxide" (white)? I just got my peroxide Rocco with iridescent studs (luckily stumbled upon the last one in stock on stylebop) and I want to know if anyone has any recommendations for what kind of leather protectant to use to prevent dye transfer from my clothes. Any tips would be appreciated! :)

Also, if you have an AW bag in peroxide, how has it held up for you so far? Any issues keeping it clean in general?

Hi all,
Has anyone been able to fix any peeling off the hardware?
I've had the large Marion for awhile now and the rose gold colour has peeled off the buckle. I'm looking to diy a repair if possible.
Let me know if you'd like to see some photos of the buckle to see exactly what I'm referring to.
Any help would be much appreciated!

I just read through some of the stuff on here great source of info. I am new to AW and I just got a rockie but I notice on my black piping facing front of the bag there are some spots that are white(upper middle part of piping). I saw some people have issues with the material rubbing on their jeans but this is the front so I wasn't sure if its common to happen in that area also? Its not a big deal atleats not yet anyways.
