It seemed to me that the AW bags made from very soft leather like the Marti, Donna, Brenda, etc, were designed to look a bit worn in and that with use the wear would become more pronounced. That said, your bag shows way more wear than I'd expect, though. Does the bag get rubbed on regularly in that spot?

No, it's the back left corner of the bag when it's open (it's hard to describe!) the other places it had worn badly are on the bottom of the bag and the side I carry it on.
I expected the leather to fade and get a worn in look - but this is beyond that
I have other lamb skin soft leather bags that haven't worn like this. It's almost like the leather has been rubbed off!!AW has one year warranty maybe try them, but as far as I know they are not very good at customer service, be prepared they will give you A hard time.
Now I start to worry about my Rocco bag since its also lambskin leather!

So I am a shoes lover but I want to start building a designer bags collections because it looks weird to have nice shoes and broken bags haha. I want to start with a classic speedy 35 in damier ebène. But the rocco bag from AW is soooooooo beautiful and I don't want the price to increase too much. So here is my question : since I don't have a lot of money because I am a student, I need to save up to get a nice bag so I want to make sure that it is worth it. I am looking for good quality that goes with the price, any of you could tell me how the "new generation" rocco's bags are please ? I want to make sure that my bag won't fall apart

That looks like the new piping to me as well... I've had piping issues for quite awhile. I took mine to Leather Spa for an unrelated issue (crossbody strap broke) but they fixed my exposed piping. Of course after that I had other areas where the piping became exposed.Hi
I have heard people saying AW fixed the rocco piping problem with their newer Rocco bag.
I just got my first Rocco today, here are my bag's edge pictures.
Any girls here can help me look at these pictures and tell me if its older version or the newer one?

Update! I ended up just buying a leather care set from Danier (a leather store in Canada), with cleaning wipes, leather conditioner/rejuvenator, weather/water protectant and a microfiber cloth.
I didn't really like the smell and feel of the cleaning wipes, it seemed really oily and it left white fibers all over my black pebbled Rocco. However after two coats of the conditioner the pebbled leather looked more supple and moisturized! I let my bag absorb the conditioner for about an hour, then sprayed a generous amount of the weather protectant and let my bag air out in the garage for another hour.
My rocco is now darker in colour (it seemed dehydrated and was more charcoal in colour before) and the leather is soft and buttery! Overall I am very happy with the results and will post another update when I carry my rocco on a rainy/snowy day!

Does anyone know if it's ok to use rockie made out of distressed lamb skin in the rain or snow?

i know this thread has been mostly about leather care so far, but i was wondering if any of you take any steps to protect your hardware? specifically the nickel chains on the brenda?
in the past i have put clear nailpolish on my PS1's hardware, but i'm buying a brenda (used) tomorrow, and i've seen some photos online where the long nickel straps have started to get tarnished. i'm terrified of that happening to mine, and i can't think of what might work to protect the chain straps.
have any of you done this before, or have any suggestions?

I'm only learning about Alexander Wang Rocco & Rockie leather now. The AW website is down for upgrades so I can't ask Customer Service.

Any one tried collonil leather cleaner on their a wang leather bags yet? I think I used too much cleaner on my Angela (the foam one ) and the leather changed its texture. -.- it's cleaner now but one part of the leather.that changed its texture kinda pisses me off. After that I went super rough on the bag, sorta like squishing it together and putting some apple leather conditioner and it became softer abit. I don't know gona wait for another 24 hours or so and see how it turns out. I'll post pictures tomorrow I think. It still looks cute/good though.
Had anyone smell their aw bag before...i just purchased the rockie with antique hardware and there is no leather smell. I bought it from nordstrom and the website stated that its lambskin, so i was wondering if anyone had smell their bag and is there suppose to be a leather smell to it or not? Thank you!
