Hi,
I recently found a deal for a pre-loved Rocco for $300. I've been thinking about whether to buy it or not, because the condition is not very good. I don't have any pictures, but there are a few little rips in the leather at the strap attachments, denim stains, scratches, and it just overall looks super used. The hardware and studs are a little scratched, but are fine for the most part. I was wondering if it would be worth it to just buy it and take it to get repaired. I've never taken a bag in for repair so I'm not sure how much that would cost. I imagine that this wouldn't just be a simple repair that just needs a little conditioning. Is this worth it, or should I just buy a new one? Thanks! :balloon:

I personally would rather get a new one, or try to find one in much better condition on ebay. $300 in my opinion is way too much for a bag in that poor of condition! If you go on shopbop they're having a great sale on right now, I just got a rocco for $693 (before taxes)!

... So is there just no hope for repair once the inner piping has been exposed on the edges of the Rocco? I have 2 exposed points and just got back from a cobbler/leather repair that said they couldn't fix it. Has anyone had success getting it fixed at a cobbler or with Alexander Wang?

I lost a stud on my Rocco, and it's been past the warranty of where I bought it (2 years+). if I email AlexanderWang.com would they be able to provide me that or am I out of luck? Any advise would be great

Anyone?

I have a black Rocco that has a large area of exposed white piping. I just painted the piping black.
I use it as a beater bag so it is okay, but ITA that I would never pay retail for one of these bags.

this is totally disappointing to hear as I'm thinking of getting an AW bag. As I've had some other bags and used it almost daily without issue, I can't believe the piping on an AW bag would wear out so fast!

The piping is starting to peek out on my Rocco. It's been my everyday bag for about 2 yrs so I'm not up in arms about it. However, my zipper did break within months of owning the bag so I had to have the zip replaced. I don't know if I will purchase another AW with intention of it being a everydayer.

My black pebbled rockie's edges are starting to wear out... the edge leather is no long smooth.. it became suede like (if you know what I mean). I want to do something about it before the piping starts to show! what do I do? Help!

I read before that some people use edge kote, will this help?

hi everyone. we had a little spa day on our house today and the girls came out for some maintenance.

I conditioned and reapplied some edge kote. here's my disclaimer, my Rocco's are not an everyday bag but I have used them for stretches of weeks to 2 months. I am not careful with them and usually end up tossing them on the footwell of my car.

I wear it both hip and on arm.

first and foremost I definitely apply conditioner or moisturizer to the leather. I just use LMB because it's what I have lying around.

here is my black/black Rocco (left) with EK applied. it doesn't look shiny at all once the EK dries. I apply it with a q-tip quite liberally I might say and clean up with the other end. you can slightly see my brass/black (right) is starting to fray a bit.

here it is after I applied EK and it dried. at first it looks at little shiny but then blends in nicely to the bag.

I hope this helps anyone who is worried about edge problems on the older versions or has reservations about using edge kote.

Hi my black Rocco I bought few years back is fading on the edges and anywhere there is an edge. How do I restore the color back? Should I take it to a repair shop? Does Nordstroms have a leather repair for bags?

Hey there, I just acquired a Rocco for $500 so if you keep looking, you'll find one at a pretty decent price! I would say pass on the used one and be patient in your search; you'll eventually be rewarded.
