The mock up color they did last year was way off. Hoping the silver obsidian IRL has some sparkle to it.
I only own YG and WG pieces from VCA. I know their RG is more “pink” compared to Cartier. I’m not sure this combo is for me but once someone here has it in their hands next month and shares a photo, I’ll have a better idea

IMO silver obsidian would have looked better in WG, but we already knew they weren’t going to repeat WG two consecutive years.

Each year the HP is met with much anticipation and speculation.
Whatever is presented will be beautiful.
Sometimes it is difficult to appreciate certain selections until seen in person.
One example is the gray mother of Pearl.
It was difficult to photograph and appeared brown in certain postings.

What a beautiful pocket stone!! I use them for my anxiety when I’m around people and get over stimulated.
May I ask where you purchased this one from? The shine and softness are remarkable! Makes me want to rub my thumb on the photo
Aww sorry it's not my stone, I just found the photo from Google search hahaha! But agreed it does look really high quality, but I think it looking wet and photographed under bright light helped to enhance its beauty too. I suspect if it's indeed silver obsidian for the HP it'll look like a cross between onyx and GMOP irl depend on lightings. If it’s really silver obsidian will it be similar to the grey mother of pearl? Perhaps just a bit darker?
I'm wondering about this, too. I had plans to get GMOP and now want to see which I like more.
Yah that’s what I think too. It will either be close to GMOP based on the pig brooch or in between GMOP and Onyx (which is my main reason to pass)
I was told today that it is rose gold but they kept mum on the stone.
I already have grey mop so if it is similar hmmm if I should still try to get it. Hopefully the shade won’t be too similar.
It’s nice as a neutral with the gray and rose gold combination, but feels really uninspired considering they’re basically releasing an alhambra line (in YG) with this stone at the same time.

dear, the silver obsidian bracelet and necklace will be in RG, and I was told that they are only for vvip so far, I can get the HP, but no bracelet
so maybe it’s a good thing for others who want the silver obsidian?
BTW, they did 2014 gmop HP in RG too, also the regular gmop.

Lol, I have last year's HP (tile) necklace and surprisingly it goes with a lot of white, black, grey, etc. A very easy necklace to wear.
