That’s so sad! I really expected shimmer since it’s called silver… From what I googled there are some stunning shiny versions. It would be very upsetting if it were a flat stone with no shine.

There’s a shine but it’s more of a gloss, not a shimmer. What I meant by flat is just comparing the colors between SO and gmop. Just imagine painting your nails a dark silver/steel color with a clear top coat on top..whereas the gmop, there’s movement and the color changes when you move it slightly.

I didn’t see any of the trusted VCA clients here confirm or deny,
However she was correct about the color last year - it was just the mock up and shade of color that was completely wrong…

and since there's a price increase effective 7% on Oct 2 where I'm at, the price went up for me by 7%

so I'm curious if the same will happen for the US market.

Wow, the GMOP does look prettier than obsidian. I happened to found another piece on the VCA website that they used rose gold hardware with obsidian. Honestly it looks kinda lackluster to me so I hope the HP wouldn’t be like this.

Oh wow it appears so dull, even less interesting than my kitchen countertop Hope the HP version is better...if not, money saved!

I might be in the minority…but I feel obsidian would have looked nicer with white gold.

If this is it, it would be a very wearable, neutral piece. Not super exciting but an elegant neutral that can be worn with cool and warm toned outfits.

That’s exactly how I feel. To me, this is the equivalent of a camel coat or taupe cashmere. Extremely elegant but does nothing for me.

I suspect that it’s not obsidian because they are planning to launch the limited 20 motif obsidian and pietresite collections which are currently allocated to the top vvvip based on regions. Maybe one of the stones used in the zodiac collection that are not these 2 or the regular Alhambra collection? At this point I’m just guessing. But if I had to manifest, I’m still dreaming of a lapis or coral HP

Yes, I could be wrong but I feel it shouldn’t be obsidian either cos usually VCA doesn’t use gemstones reserved for SOs or VVIPs in the HP (eg; Turquoise and Rock crystal).. at least they haven’t so far! And to have a HP in the exact same gemstone as something they’re launching at the same time just doesn’t quite sit right?

If it’s obsidian, $ saved. Saw the Lucky Pig IRL, did not like the stone. I do love last year’s pendant though.
