Based on all the hints, I’m thinking it’s aventurine in rose gold. It looks like VCA has worked with it in the past (see bracelet).
Now I don’t know much about the stone but it apparently comes in green, blue, red, peach or orange, brown, yellow, gray, and purple.
Green is the most common color, but if they chose rose gold, I think a red aventurine in rose gold would be very pretty and a better combination.
Although not many photos show such a vibrant red, it’s more brown which would be blech.
Purple aventurine and rose gold would also be a great combination.
Depending on the shade, I think blue and gray could also work, but a bright red or purple would be my top picks. I don’t foresee them doing anything crazy like David Yurman did with their aventurine pendant but who knows!
The earrings below are not VCA but ideas of what green and red might look like in a rose gold setting.

I had been super excited for this year's HP. But finding out that it is rose gold has disappointed me. I don't wear rose gold at all. I hope its yellow gold next year!
