Twilly/scarf time!!

I typically will tie the scarf on the handle in a bow. Or wrap only one handle. I don't have pairs, so I can't wrap both handles, but I guess I could wrap both because they seem to be able to mix and match.

But bows [emoji166] are pretty, especially on my [emoji521] Evelyne!

It's funny, one time I was going about my shopping business wearing my Evelyne with a bow tied just like this. One lady at Hermes grabbed her SA, dragged him to me and pointed "I want that."

At the time, it was a bit startling so I went to a different counter. Now I'm kinda used to it, especially at H, because it's an example of how to use their twillies. ‍♀️

Here are the Hermes twillies.

These are my Burberry, LV, and Bally scarves.

The thicker LV and Bally I actually wear as a scarf as well. The thinner, small ones, I put in my hair in a bow.

Last but not least, my weekend combo:
Dior and Hermes

So since I can wear these and put them on my bag, I find these versatile enough.

Still gotta find those last two charms. lol I keep forgetting.

You Jardin D'Anglais looks perfect on your Evie. And I love your Dior, it'd go with almost everything. I was going to get one too but my initials were in the worst possible colours

Bummer!

I wanted other colors but my initials are just B. So there's only one to have.

Also, kinda shocked Dior twillies are more expensive than H. I only got this because I was eyeing it, and it was duty free lol.

I hope it doesn't give H ideas :hrmm: . Gucci's 90 silks are now more expensive the H's too, luckily I haven't found any I like there for a while.

They had that price drop a year or two ago, I hope they stay at the price they're at. It's a good price so when they come out with a bunch I like, the pain isn't that hard on the wallet.

But I feel like I should go to the H sales for scarves. Should've flown up to SF for it lol. The fares on Southwest were less than a twilly round trip [emoji23]

Lots of practice lol.

As a child I had to wear lots of dresses and bows. So I learned then. [emoji28]

@liznaj - Yes! I like the little pocket on the back too! I slip my phone in there which keeps me from having to open the bag when I need it.

@papertiger - Great list. On your number 3 - no names. This is one of my biggest peeves. I would even go a step further than you. Unless its an iconic logo that is almost intrinsic to the style (LV's or Gucci's mono, Chanel's CC's, Mulberry's now lost tree) I don't need or want any branding on the bag. It's obnoxious and draws too much (negative, jealous) attention. I'd never wear a dress with a big brand across my chest. Nor would I wear shoes with the brand slapped on the toe box. So, why do I have to have the brand name on my bags?

And, actually we are more similar than not on 6 - handles / straps. I should have been more clear. My comment was strictly about totes not all bags. I have a perfect strap length for totes which is 9" give or take half an inch. I don't like long straps on a tote because then it hits me oddly. (I've struggled finding the black tote because many I liked had long straps) Hand carry bags needs to be shorter - just long enough for the strap to be proportionate to the bag. Adjustable straps are great as long as when they are shortened the "end" doesn't flop around or curl oddly. I actually like the adjustable strap on the Fendi - it's a series of snaps which look nice vs buckle and hanging strap.

Oh,yes! This one is much, much nicer than the Brooklyn. It has the thick, chewy, yummy leather. It's a beauty!!
It is a beauty!
Hm. It's a gorgeous bag. And the new Coach bags seems to be really well made! (And go on sale!)

But it's kinda similar in style to your Borough, and in color to that NYC Coach bag you have.
I need to hear voices of reason like this, bake! Probably will not end up in my closet.
It's one of those LOL, actually looks a stylish and practical bag if you need it
Probably don't "need it". Don't need a lot of things that end up in my closet! [emoji23]

Captive in the mall today as I got my iphone repaired, I wandered to the Coach store. I hadn't been in one for 5-6 years and wow! it's very different! I'm trying to find the right word and don't have it. The brand seems more "credible" (?) than it had been - say 10 to 12 years ago.

The collection is more cohesive, the youthful Poppy line is gone and the designs are more reflective of the brand heritage. It was really nice to see that the brand has its own perspective unlike MIchael Kors which has struggled for originality in their sea inspired designs. So I have to say kudos to the newish Coach design team.

You definitely don't need it.

Remember the feeling when you took the plunge for your herbag, your borough, your picotin.

That's the feeling you have to have when you make a purchase. Confidence that it fits in your lifestyle and wardrobe.

I love / hate email shopping alerts!! I first saw & fell in love with Bag X while traveling for bz in Amsterdam. (I hate not having good shopping nearby!) But, I talked myself out of buying. Fast forward a year to today. I get an email that it's final clearance 30% off. :panic:

I almost had to throw my wallet in the garbage disposal. But I'm double my goal with not quite half the year gone. I need to sit still in Pause Peninsula for a while. :frown:

Honestly, this would be easier if I didn't use and truly enjoy the bags I have. :oh:

I went inside several Coach stores during this trip. I agree the bags are beautiful! Drawback though are that they are heavy! Somebody posted a Coach satchel some posts back, that one was also too heavy for me. The one that surprised me to be lightweight was also from the 1941 line (I think), short handle, but like a big tote.

Did I already confess that I moved out of Pause Peninsula yesterday during our last day in Macau? Our flight was still in the afternoon so there was time to go around the shops in the morning. I succumbed to Furla! It's the style I've been visiting in my local Furla store, but could not pull the trigger due to the available color. Will post later.

Would you like to join my escape from PP? I welcome company.
