Sooooo...remember my cursed red Gucci Soho bag that I sold three times to three scammers? :annoyed: In the third sale's dispute, PayPal sided with the buyer and scammer #3 was supposed to send the bag back.

Well, I go to Europe for 3 weeks and get back - no bag. I check the post office to see if it was mis-sorted and not placed in my held mail. Nope. I checked the PayPal website and the money has been refunded to her but no record of a shipment. :whut: So I have no money and no bag. I call PayPal and they said yes she was supposed to send the bag back to get a refund but because I hadn't responded to something while I was gone, they let her keep the bag and gave her the money. What in the world???? :cursing:

So I've talked to multiple people over two days. Finally someone with common sense reimbursed me. I'm very glad I got the sales proceeds which is actually better then getting the bag back a third time.

But, I'm frustrated with two things. One of the "managers" I spoke with said that when I sent the pictures, authentication and receipt, it really didn't matter because they aren't in the business of knowing bags. So the best I would ever get as a seller is for the person to send the merchandise back. They'll never make the buyer keep the product and honor the sale. Why have an investigative process if they don't use evidence provided. (And of course that means a scammer could send back an empty box and get the both bag and the money.)

My second and bigger issue is that Scammer #3 DID get the money and the bag. How do some people live with themselves???

I'm worn out. I decided to get quotes from consigners on the last 3 bags I want to sell and ship them off. After 5 years of selling almost 150 bags this is the only issue I've had. But it was enough to make me d-o-n-e with selling for quite a while. I'm glad I love everything I have. :-s
This is horrible. I am glad you were able to get your money back. I was just starting to consider using them but now definitely not. I don't need the headache.

I don't carry this little guy on my bags... he keeps me company on my desk... but this is Bogart. He is one of the Burberry bag charms.

I got him last fall, when I was feeling a bit down and needed a lift, and I must say he is terrific company! He agrees with everything I say. He never takes the last chocolate chip cookie. And, best of all, when I ask him if a pair of jeans makes my butt look too big, he always answers "Of course not!"

I think there's some on sale right now?! [emoji56][emoji56]
You are soo right, Hobbsy. There's a great satchel on sale at Saks; made in Italy too. I was not aware that some of the bags are made in Italy again. Ackk! I am trying not to buy another bag right now!

Glad you got your money back and are rid of that cursed bag! It is infuriating though that this buyer has your bag and her money. [emoji35] Sadly, she probably feels great about this transaction; like winning a prize.

I hope when she uses it, someone spills an entire Frappuccino on the bag!! [emoji48]

So far I have been fairly lucky with my sales, but until I get positive feedback I am always on pins and needles. [emoji15] This has actually been a good learning experience for me, as it made me realize I would rather buy a bag I want to keep for awhile, rather than go through the hassle of selling!

Luckily, Sparkle, your closet will now be filled only with bags that you love! [emoji7]

Oh no, I'm so sorry sparkle. That is terrible!! Sorry you had to come home from a great vacation to this mess.

Hi Bogart! You're so cute and sweet
Today, I am wearing my second bag/charm pairing - Tod's. No scratching so far [emoji28]

Beautiful pairing :)

I've probably sold a couple of hundred things over the years (not all bags!) and only had 2 bad experiences in that time. It is off putting when it happens, but even though eBay makes it so easy for scammers, most people, by far the majority actually, choose to be honest. It's another way to look it
Very good point! I think I was just so angry / frustrated about this that all I could see was red.
This is horrible. I am glad you were able to get your money back. I was just starting to consider using them but now definitely not. I don't need the headache.
@Pessie makes a good point. I've probably sold 350+ items across all the platforms. And, I've really only had problems with this bag (3x's! It had to be cursed). I should look at the overwhelming positive instead of overweighting the demon bag experience. So, don't let my story stop you from giving it a try.

Thanks for the support! And I completely agree with what you said. Selling has reeeaaally made me think hard about what I add to my collection. I may fail in my in's / out's goal but, I'm determined to always make my 100% keeper (no flipping needed) goal.

Which blooms piece are you looking at?

this is just sickening...
i am glad you got it sorted, but i will definitely not do impulse transactions even with PP payment... no bueno :nono:

The blooms key case in blue :) Looks pretty similar in size and design to the LV key pouches. The blooms line is just so pretty with the florals!

The Gucci cases are thinner but taller. And $95 more than LV. This would look super cute with your baby bag!

The LV is shorter but holds more non flat items imo. But this would also look cute. lol I'm no help.

I still want a Gucci key pouch too but I'm waiting for a different pattern lol.

Good luck deciding!

It's listed on the website as the Rogue Leather and Snakeskin satchel. I am not well versed in Coach anymore; is it also called the Brooklyn satchel?

It's a very strong like, but may not be love. I wish it would sell out so I could stop looking at it! [emoji6]
