Thanks, Sparkle! Not to enable, but you may "need" an H scarf. [emoji6]
I think you're right. And I think one or more will be headed my way eventually. :amuse: But first I want to get further into my wardrobe reboot which will take another year since I only shop in waves. LOL! Then I'll have a better idea of what colors to get and how I want to wear them. There are so many pretty ones. But I think my favorite so far is the Super H. It's stealth action hero/ geeky in a classy package so I'm loving it!

Sooooo...remember my cursed red Gucci Soho bag that I sold three times to three scammers? :annoyed: In the third sale's dispute, PayPal sided with the buyer and scammer #3 was supposed to send the bag back.

Well, I go to Europe for 3 weeks and get back - no bag. I check the post office to see if it was mis-sorted and not placed in my held mail. Nope. I checked the PayPal website and the money has been refunded to her but no record of a shipment. :whut: So I have no money and no bag. I call PayPal and they said yes she was supposed to send the bag back to get a refund but because I hadn't responded to something while I was gone, they let her keep the bag and gave her the money. What in the world???? :cursing:

So I've talked to multiple people over two days. Finally someone with common sense reimbursed me. I'm very glad I got the sales proceeds which is actually better then getting the bag back a third time.

But, I'm frustrated with two things. One of the "managers" I spoke with said that when I sent the pictures, authentication and receipt, it really didn't matter because they aren't in the business of knowing bags. So the best I would ever get as a seller is for the person to send the merchandise back. They'll never make the buyer keep the product and honor the sale. Why have an investigative process if they don't use evidence provided. (And of course that means a scammer could send back an empty box and get the both bag and the money.)

My second and bigger issue is that Scammer #3 DID get the money and the bag. How do some people live with themselves???

I'm worn out. I decided to get quotes from consigners on the last 3 bags I want to sell and ship them off. After 5 years of selling almost 150 bags this is the only issue I've had. But it was enough to make me d-o-n-e with selling for quite a while. I'm glad I love everything I have. :-s
That's simply awful, spark. You're right, Buyer #3 was clearly a scammer, she now has the $$$ AND the bag, and I hope she has trouble sleeping at night... but she probably sleeps just fine. :whut:
I don't blame you for going the consignment route. I sold some things on evilbay a couple of years ago, but after all the horror stories I've heard recently, now I take less money and go through consigners. Or for the less expensive items I just donate them to thrift shops, and figure I'm getting good karma. :graucho:

And this is why I don't want to sell on eBay! That is so ridiculous, she/he got to keep the bag and their money! What's to stop a person from doing that? I know most people are honest and not out to scam, but eBay sounds like they make it easy to do with them! Ugh!

@ElainePG and @Hobbsy - I'm just so infuriated. I don't understand why EBay and PayPal make it so easy on thieves. As a seller (or buyer) I'd be willing to pay $20 for the item to go to a third party, be verified and then sent on to the buyer to prevent any squirrely claims on either end. I wonder why that isn't offered. It certainly would get more people to list and buy.
Didn't Poshmark offer that at one time?

I don't understand why eBay makes it so easy for buyers that they can literally scam sellers and get away with it! There should be checks and balances for buyers as well as sellers. I'm sure there are scammers on both sides making it so hard for the honest seller. I don't get their policies.

I don't carry this little guy on my bags... he keeps me company on my desk... but this is Bogart. He is one of the Burberry bag charms.

I got him last fall, when I was feeling a bit down and needed a lift, and I must say he is terrific company! He agrees with everything I say. He never takes the last chocolate chip cookie. And, best of all, when I ask him if a pair of jeans makes my butt look too big, he always answers "Of course not!"

Sounds like the perfect guy! Maybe I can set him up with Sparkle Jr. They're about the same height.
Seriously, though I love these bears. I have a thing for teddy bears and still have the (fairly large but very squishy and cuddly) one my dad gave me as a little girl. I think I should snag one of these cuties. Like you, I can just keep him around. He doesn't have to dangle from a bag.

Wow! That's seriously horrible! I'm glad you get your money back. This is just bad bad bad! If I were you, I'd be done, too. :(
