Today I'm taking my new Fendi with me for the first time. I have to admit that when I got home. I had a bit of buyer's remorse because while I've loved the look of BTW bags, I'd never seriously considered buying one. I bought the smaller one for my daughter on our first day in Rome. Then I hemmed and hawed the rest of time we were there about whether to get the larger one for me. :-s So, I began to worry a bit when I got home.

But! Hurray!! It's love! :yahoo: This bag is so easy to wear and holds a ton! I also love how clean the lines are. It's beautiful and ...restful. LOL!

My only wish is that I could have gotten the tag heat stamped with my initials as we did with Sparkle Jr's. But since I do sell my bags when I tire of them, I felt it best to keep it plain. Too bad they don't sell extras.

So I'm sorta participating in bag charm week because this has its hang tag. Maybe I'll go crazy and get a poof ball for it from Target! View attachment 3730969
It looks great, I just knew you'd love it!:hbeat:

Question for everyone: what less common feature (or features) do you really love to have in a bag?

I've realized I like bags to have the little teeny strap and ring inside for keys. It helps me keep track of them in larger bagss. But I don't see this feature often.

I also have to have a middle zippered section in my totes. It keeps things more organized because there are now 3 separate compartments and it provides security because I can put my wallet or other special items in the zip part.

The last one isn't a feature so much as structure. The straps have to have a drop long enough to allow for the bag to be comfortable on my shoulder, have room for a coat and not be in my armpit. So for me that's a min 9" drop.
I need an inside small side zipped compartment for my keys. If a bag doesn't have this, it's a deal breaker! Can't stand to fish around for my keys in the bottom of my bag.

Twilly/scarf time!!

I typically will tie the scarf on the handle in a bow. Or wrap only one handle. I don't have pairs, so I can't wrap both handles, but I guess I could wrap both because they seem to be able to mix and match.

But bows [emoji166] are pretty, especially on my [emoji521] Evelyne!

It's funny, one time I was going about my shopping business wearing my Evelyne with a bow tied just like this. One lady at Hermes grabbed her SA, dragged him to me and pointed "I want that."

At the time, it was a bit startling so I went to a different counter. Now I'm kinda used to it, especially at H, because it's an example of how to use their twillies. ‍♀️

Here are the Hermes twillies.

These are my Burberry, LV, and Bally scarves.

The thicker LV and Bally I actually wear as a scarf as well. The thinner, small ones, I put in my hair in a bow.

Last but not least, my weekend combo:
Dior and Hermes

So since I can wear these and put them on my bag, I find these versatile enough.

Still gotta find those last two charms. lol I keep forgetting.
This is a fabulous twilly collection, bake! I need to get more, maybe next season! Right now stock is quite low on the H web site. :frown:

Thank you!

I do my best to only buy twilly/scarves in patterns and color ways that are me. [emoji4]
If I bought based on colorway alone, I'd have a much bigger selection. H makes soooo many!

Did you go to the H sale? I wish it was in BH then I could've gotten more silks!

Do you have twillies? I can't recall if you shared already or not lol.

Did I already confess that I moved out of Pause Peninsula yesterday during our last day in Macau? Our flight was still in the afternoon so there was time to go around the shops in the morning. I succumbed to Furla! It's the style I've been visiting in my local Furla store, but could not pull the trigger due to the available color. Will post later.

Would you like to join my escape from PP? I welcome company.

Can't wait to see your Furla!

There are some cute Furla bags I eyed in Hawaii. They were the size of a slightly bigger nano noe, had a short and long handle and had this adorable floral print.

But they closed before I decided if I needed it, so that saved me from adding a 4th bag in a week lol.

Furla has some really fun customization options! Really cool! (They also have cool charms and puffs if anyone was looking for some [emoji23] )

I love / hate email shopping alerts!! I first saw & fell in love with Bag X while traveling for bz in Amsterdam. (I hate not having good shopping nearby!) But, I talked myself out of buying. Fast forward a year to today. I get an email that it's final clearance 30% off. :panic:

I almost had to throw my wallet in the garbage disposal. But I'm double my goal with not quite half the year gone. I need to sit still in Pause Peninsula for a while. :frown:

Honestly, this would be easier if I didn't use and truly enjoy the bags I have. :oh:

...and what was Bag X? :graucho:

i like that strap with a ring/clasp, too, but not for the key, i attach my memory stick to it
i also like spare rings/D-rings on the bag for the charm
P.S. what i DON'T like to have on my bag, is stiff, non-foldable (dropping down) small handles, if i need to use long shoulder strap, the handles should NOT stand up stiff ... hope, it makes sense...

They had that price drop a year or two ago, I hope they stay at the price they're at. It's a good price so when they come out with a bunch I like, the pain isn't that hard on the wallet.

But I feel like I should go to the H sales for scarves. Should've flown up to SF for it lol. The fares on Southwest were less than a twilly round trip [emoji23].

They had to drop the price in 2015 in the UK coz no one was buying LOL - except me of course

We used to have sales in London but without scarves, I can't remember what I bought except some great JPG-designed hats and toile and Swift Jumping boots, things that made me excited and may have bought anyway had I looked at them earlier. Mostly it was just RTW and shoes but I didn't like most shoes in those days, they were so conventional and boring. In France, if you're a good customer, you can buy RTW/footwear in the sale straight from the store with an SA invite, I bought my second pair of Land boots that way. We still have a sale in Paris that included scarves but the sales require luck and I'm not prepared to compromise. Just the price of the trip there is stupid too. I'll order my scarves before they even get into the store, they're reserved, I choose, leave, done and dusted. I've never had to sell a scarf. TBH, listening to others' stories, I feel I've saved thousands paying full price for the exact scarves I want but some people comeback with excellent scarves, even ones that were supposedly sold out worldwide LOL.

This Hermesmatic pop-up stored are interesting. H uses leftover scarves from past seasons and dip-dyes them, also you can bring in your old scarf-mistakes and over-dye them a different colour and I think that service is free. Not sure where they're going to pop-up next but I'd love to go to one even though I have no scarf I'd want to change. http://www.purseblog.com/hermes/hermesmatic-nyc/

OMG!!! What a candy shop for the sore eyes!!!!

I don't carry this little guy on my bags... he keeps me company on my desk... but this is Bogart. He is one of the Burberry bag charms.

I got him last fall, when I was feeling a bit down and needed a lift, and I must say he is terrific company! He agrees with everything I say. He never takes the last chocolate chip cookie. And, best of all, when I ask him if a pair of jeans makes my butt look too big, he always answers "Of course not!"

Hello there, I have a question for you: my third bag/charm combination would be my Fendi 2jours and a black fur pompom. Do you wear furry items in summer? Not sure about the charm, but I wear my furry bags only in winter...
poms - yes, bag - no
i have one, in deep wine bordeaux rabbit fur, and it's my AW baby :)

really??? OMG!! i better get myself out of my chair and make sure i get my portion of UFO until they hike up the price tags....

H put up their prices 10% almost every 6 months, occasionally annually. In the UK in 2009, a carre was £230, in 2014 over £300 (I think £315). 2014 I bought scarves only when I went to see my mother (then in France) as it worked out less expensive in Euros, but there were exceptions (including 3 Minuit au Faubourg). They had to wind the price back down as literally no one was buying scarves, esp in the UK, the pound was high too, I was practically alone in the store. A lot of collector friends stopped buying new completely. People are not silly, and there's a pre-loved market that is HUGE, no one is going scarf hungry anymore.
