Hello there, I have a question for you: my third bag/charm combination would be my Fendi 2jours and a black fur pompom. Do you wear furry items in summer? Not sure about the charm, but I wear my furry bags only in winter...

This is such an interesting question for me.

I would and do wear my sheepskin tail (very Davy Crockett) but if I had one, I prob wouldn't wear a fur pom pom even though so many others do.

It's a bit like wearing/carrying suede, for me it's a question of which colour and bag rather than a hard, fast rule

H put up their prices 10% almost every 6 months, occasionally annually. In the UK in 2009, a carre was £230, in 2014 over £300 (I think £315). 2014 I bought scarves only when I went to see my mother (then in France) as it worked out less expensive in Euros, but there were exceptions (including 3 Minuit au Faubourg). They had to wind the price back down as literally no one was buying scarves, esp in the UK, the pound was high too, I was practically alone in the store. A lot of collector friends stopped buying new completely. People are not silly, and there's a pre-loved market that is HUGE, no one is going scarf hungry anymore.
agree
besides, like myself, some scarfies prefer older designs, e.g. Ledoux, with clean and beautiful prints of old ships, something that you doubt - to wear, or to frame it and just enjoy watching it!... :D
i like the roofs/city overview, horses, the orange boxes AND the UFO all together, so i decided to get one for myself from the new season (cw is yet TBD), but my main market is pre-loved oldies, and i agree, that prices are a lot more fair while you get a timeless piece ....

Did I already confess that I moved out of Pause Peninsula yesterday during our last day in Macau? Our flight was still in the afternoon so there was time to go around the shops in the morning. I succumbed to Furla! It's the style I've been visiting in my local Furla store, but could not pull the trigger due to the available color. Will post later.

Would you like to join my escape from PP? I welcome company.
OMG! Furla! Don't they have some cuties!!

I tried to get on your ferry out of PP but was restrained by the "I still need to buy tons more clothes" monster. :-s When I decide to change something I want it changed yesterday and I am giving half my closet the hairy eyeball. LOL! I need to make a decision soon though. Ugh!
...and what was Bag X? :graucho:
I normally would say and share a picture for opinions but, there's only one left we have lots of lurkers on the thread. So, mums the word til I decide. :sneaky:
I'm pausing because it's final sale and I haven't seen it live in this color - though after investigating the bag online, it's the color I wanted. My other caution is that it's "work bag love." Meaning if I could wear anything to work, I wouldn't ever choose this. (in contrast to the burgundy Gucci stirrup bag I bought for work which I'd adore no matter what) But of the non branded, work appropriate bags, this is a very pretty and unique color combined with a beautiful style.

So I'm mulling it over. :confused1:

It looks great, I just knew you'd love it!:hbeat:
Thanks, Elaine! It's so functional. The more I wore it, the more I appreciated it. I love my flaps but they just aren't as user friendly as many other styles.

Oh, and I just saw the BTW online in dove grey - which actually looks like a warm beige / light camel. It's gorgeous in that color! But it's 40% more in the US than in Italy. :faint:

It's been fun to have bags new from the store. I'm still semi locked in the thrifty mental chains my parents raised me with. So I "justify" my luxury handbag purchases in my head by buying the majority preloved. But having them fresh from the store with all the little things that come with them - and at a preloved like discount from buying them in Europe - has made me feel happily spoiled. :amuse:

Although for charm week, I posted my bag charms with fur; I don't wear them in the summer. I don't own a fur pompom; if I did I would probably use it in the summer.

I own one bag with shearling. Even though it is a light color, I only use it in the Fall/Winter.

I went inside several Coach stores during this trip. I agree the bags are beautiful! Drawback though are that they are heavy! Somebody posted a Coach satchel some posts back, that one was also too heavy for me. The one that surprised me to be lightweight was also from the 1941 line (I think), short handle, but like a big tote.

Congrats I can't wait to see it.

Twilly/scarf time!!

I typically will tie the scarf on the handle in a bow. Or wrap only one handle. I don't have pairs, so I can't wrap both handles, but I guess I could wrap both because they seem to be able to mix and match.

But bows [emoji166] are pretty, especially on my [emoji521] Evelyne!

It's funny, one time I was going about my shopping business wearing my Evelyne with a bow tied just like this. One lady at Hermes grabbed her SA, dragged him to me and pointed "I want that."

At the time, it was a bit startling so I went to a different counter. Now I'm kinda used to it, especially at H, because it's an example of how to use their twillies. ‍♀️

Here are the Hermes twillies.

These are my Burberry, LV, and Bally scarves.

The thicker LV and Bally I actually wear as a scarf as well. The thinner, small ones, I put in my hair in a bow.

Last but not least, my weekend combo:
Dior and Hermes

So since I can wear these and put them on my bag, I find these versatile enough.

Still gotta find those last two charms. lol I keep forgetting.
I love your Evelyn! What's the name of the color? The twily looks very nice on it.

My quirks for bags are if it is going on my shoulder no more round handles, though for hand held I like round handles. It must have a pocket or two. I still have a spare bag organizer but I prefer that the bags work without one. Ironically I could care less for key leashes because I never use them. I don't put my sunnies in a case so no keys or anything scratchy can be loose in my bag. I hate fussy openings. If it is hard to get in the bag I don't want it.
Bake stopped in Bally yesterday and asked what that thing was for and both Sa's at the same time said keys.
I have started a separate list of bags that is for traveling, sports, messy places. I realized I had gotten rid of all my inexpensive bags that worked for certain things. I replaced the one bag that had to fit in a certain pocket in my chair for outdoor art events. There are other such things I do that I do not want to take a nice bag because there is a good chance of it getting stained. So I picked up a few different bags for just those things all for around a hundred. They will not be counted in my real collection but I am curious to see how often I use this type of thing.

Yes! This has happened with me as well. I've upgraded my collection but have a need for bags that work for occasions where I don't want to take an expensive bag. But they still have to look nice and have good quality. That's why I started calling them carefree bags instead of beater bags.

I have a couple bags for fun days (my KS Mini A Satchel and Coach patent saddle) but I'm not in love with them so I need to replace them. And I need things like a tote, a larger slouchy shoulder bag, etc. I've had a list of the 5 of bags I want to buy (types like "a tote" not specific models) for a while but haven't focused on it. Lots of brands are running sales now so it's a good time to look.

Oh man.

So I had bought the coach Disney luggage tag online, and made my tea rose purchase in store.

Of course they got my email, cuz they need all that now [emoji28]

Unsubscribe! Unsubscribe! I got what I wanted.

How many of you have already or will unsubscribe from these emails to prevent temptation? I was doing so well until I gave my info again when I made my purchases.

Until those purchases, the only email I got was from Bloomingdales. And those are less frequent than Coach. Coach is daily, sometimes multiple times a day.

Unsubscribe! Lol
