Re number of bags...
i currently own 60+/-, i did some moves in and out, need to refresh my inventory :)
I am happy with what i have, but i understand that some don't get used often enough, i will move out some more by summer and hopefully will make it closer to 50
ideally i think i need 30-35, but i am guilty in having doubles, in hobo style that works best for me, i can have one in every colour! So, no pressure to reduce harshly, but i definitely will work on modifying my collection :)

Would anyone be interested in doing (yet another) bag project?

Since I'm supposed to be banned, and I need to be good to save for this house, I was thinking to pull out all my bags and just talk about why I bought that bag, why I like it so much, what was I celebrating when I bought it, etc.

Or would that be too weird? lol.

I just figured that some bags have a "story" of sorts. There's a reason why that some bags stay, no matter how many times a closet is cleaned.
i would like to hear your bag stories! count me in!

I think it's a great idea! I'm way behind on color assignments but I'd love to tell you guys a bit more about my bags when I do get the change to post.

That's a lovely idea. [emoji4] I think we can do that.

But don't you all sick of my stories? I talked about them a lot last year during the project. [emoji28]
Nope, not at all! Our love for bags is enhanced by the story =)

It is in exploring where we discover what works for us!

I hope you will like it!! Can I let you in on a secret too? I just ordered from Colette last night - a dark blue Verona Angelica! An Easter celebration.

Ooh, can't wait to see it! I think you'll like the Angelica, msd. Hope the Verona meets your needs.

And this is the main reason why i was stuck to that particular print...
I used to have 200+ different perfumes... now "downsized" by selling and gifting a few, still working on reducing the numbers, but i am just crazy for my bottles and vials...

Wow, terrific collection. Do you ever think about putting them on display? I feel like the bottle design is half of the reason I buy a perfume.

Soooo...I'm back home and quite bag disgruntled.

1) I used my black YSL Small Monogram Cabas as my main bag for the travel I did Th - Sun. It was fully loaded several times. And this is what happened. :cursing:

BOTH of the handles came apart. The pins holding on the bar that keeps the handles attached "worked" their way out somehow. I am furious!!! I am careful with my bags and have NEVER had this kind of issue. Not with the cheapest bags or the most delicate. This is supposed to be my black "workhorse". I should be able to carry it fully loaded with no issues.

I bought it from Fashionphile 6 months ago so I can't take it to a boutique. So I'm going to try to find a cobbler to fix it. But with black hardware I'm concerned.

2) My sorority colors are salmon pink and apple green and I like to wear pink. So I wanted an apple green bag to wear to sorority functions now and again. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on what would be a "specialty" bag in my closet so I found an apple green suede Chanel bag at an insanely low sale price because it needs a little cleaning. Nothing major. It's just "grungy."
View attachment 3670546
Well I contacted Leather Surgeons and they said they can't clean suede. Huh??? That shocks me. I'm going to contact a couple of other places and see what they say. If I can't find an option I'll return the bag (I have 30 days). But I'm disappointed. :hrmm: Finding an apple green bag that's pretty and at a low price is not an easy task. LOL!!!

Oh no, that's so disappointing! I hope the YSL can be repaired. You do usually have great luck with your second hand purchases, and even the grey Chanel turned out magnificent, so chalk it up to the losses and hope it will be fixed without issue.

With the green Chanel, I think your best option will be to return it unless there's a way to redye the bag in the same shade? Suede is tricky.

If you guys don't mind, I'd like to go first 'cuz I actually took the time to take a picture of the Miu Miu and it's actually one of my favourite bags in my collection, even though she does not get out as much as she should.

I bought her in Toronto during one of my last trips to visit my then bf. She's circa, 2006/2007 and I LOVE everything about her - color, side lock, hardware, and key holder. You can't tell in the picture but she ages at the corners and it's lovely. I used to wear her more when I drove to work but now that I transit and our weather is so unpredictable, I save her. She's been resting for a couple of years now and I took her out yesterday to say hi. I may get the courage again to bring her to work in the summer as she fits everything really nicely and looks super polished if I have to meet clients. I loved that line so much,I also have a large clutch in the same color that can convert to clutch, crossbody and a slim n/s tote. Thanks for letting me share!

thank you :ty:
perfumes should be kept in the dark and low temperature to preserve the composition better.
This amount of bottels obviously are not used all/regularly, so they stay in their boxes, the ones i use often still stay in the dark cabinet and a few bottles are open and ready for quick use on my toilet table, but i am not returning them back, once it's out - it will be used to finish :flowers:

welcome to Singapore! it's fine to take an open top bag onto public transport though - we are an extremely safe country. i have misplaced my laptop once and phones twice on public transport and on all three occasions had my items returned to me  i use my handheld bags even during peak hours too so don't worry about what type of bag to wear because anything goes!

Thank you, coomelondew! I know Singapore is very safe, visited many times to visit family there :) I would love to carry my handheld bags but it's probably not practical if I'm taking a crowded mrt with a small child! It's more of a lifestyle change I guess since right now I live downtown and hardly take transportation. I apologize if I sound like I'm whining, because I do love Singapore. Big moves are hard, especially when they involve giving up things or a drastic change in lifestyle.

Ah, now that you explained it, it makes so much sense! I know so little about perfumes, I just have a couple that are kept on the bathroom counter. My mom used to collect miniatures though, and she displayed them on her vanity, which was what made me think of asking you. I don't think she really used them though!

she is a Beauty!
and that's exactly that time when 'less is more', classic clean lines let the fabulous rich leather stand out and show all its glorious beauty!

I'm not surprised you're upset, this is really shocking and for both handles to go? Terrible. I hope you can fix it, but the trouble is you're probably not going to have confidence in it anymore as a workhouse :confused1:

My lone gray.

H Picotin Lock MM in etain. Petit h dolphin charm.

I use a MaiTai bag organizer inside of this one. The color is a chameleon, sometimes looking more taupe and sometimes more gray depending on the light.

I leave it locked when I am using it, and can easily get my things in and out of it. I do not think that I would use when traveling due to the open top, but find it to be very functional otherwise.
A real beauty Mimmy, stunning!!

The numbers thing crops up all over in different threads :-) it really doesn't matter a jot so long as what we have makes us happy. You're terrific at changing your look and coordinating your accessories, I can't imagine you without them all!

I can see why you love this bag so much, she's so beautiful and will never ever date. This is such a lovely colour for summer days too, so I think you should use her a bit more ;-)
