@Sparkletastic OMG that sucks! So sorry that happened. Even though you got it preloved, can you take it to a boutique and see if they can do a repair for you? Hopefully someone's able to help you fix it.
Could you take the Ysl to their boutique and pay to have it fixed?
OMG! I'm sorry it happen to you! [emoji33][emoji33][emoji33] I assume you lost the pin? I know you can't return it, but maybe you can contact them for parts?

A pin for my zipper head on my wide horn also fell out when I first got my bag. Luckily I found it. I was on a trip and can't return it right away, plus, it's a duty free buy so I had to contact the boutique which isn't really accommodating. So, I screw the Lin back tightly, with a glue inserted in the screw part. I learn this trick from a cobbler years ago. It never comes out.

Maybe you could contact them for the problem? Maybe they can do something for you, like supplying the parts? Wish you luck on that. This is seriously shouldn't happen.
@Sparkletastic Your YSL handle coming apart is very annoying. I hope that a good cobbler can fix it to your satisfaction. I hope you can find someone to clean the suede Chanel too.

Spark, so sorry about the Cabas! So YSL quality isn't really there huh? For what it's worth, I really liked this bag!!
Goodluck on suede touch up!

Beautiful Mimmy!

I like this project! I'm in!
I'm horrified by what's happened with Tammy YSL. Thanks for the support and suggestions. I'll call the nearest boutique (3 hours away) and will see what they say. I did find all the pieces to one side and one piece for the second side. @vink, I like the idea of screwing it back together with some super glue added.

Your description makes me even more excited!! I was not happy with the Navy pebbled because it lacked color saturation, so I hope this dark blue will be the right blue! In looking at pictures online, I seem to think the Verona leather has the same grain as the leather of the MCM Millas?

Love your grey collection, especially the BV!!

I have come to realize that the "right number" differs for everyone. For me, if I count everything (including Longchamp Le Pliage which I don't normally use as a fashion handbag), I have close to 50. About 30ish are everyday bags. 30+ is still a lot for me in theory. But in reality, I love the variety. But if I should target, I think I would want to limit my everyday bags to 20.

Only one grey bag but so beautiful!!

What brand is this backpack? Leather looks yummy! I sometimes get tempted to have a leather backpack in my collection, but deep down I know that it will be rarely used.

My first Angelica, though I ordered one for a friend last year, so I've seen it IRL. I think yours is in Tuscania? I'm scared to try that leather because I don't like glazed generally and the veiny look may be too much for what I want. I abstained from ordering during Lent, and right on Easter, I ordered, lol!
The backpack is Diane Von Furstenberg.

My grey's have not changed after all .
These are great greys - I especially like the shape of the second one.

My lone gray.

H Picotin Lock MM in etain. Petit h dolphin charm.

I use a MaiTai bag organizer inside of this one. The color is a chameleon, sometimes looking more taupe and sometimes more gray depending on the light.

I leave it locked when I am using it, and can easily get my things in and out of it. I do not think that I would use when traveling due to the open top, but find it to be very functional otherwise.
Gorgeous, I am obsessing over the colour Etain and your Picotin is lovely!

Oh! Don't use superglue! It has some chemical that when evaporate "may" change the surface of stuff it's touching. Plus, it's very hard to clean if there's any mistake. I don't know how to exactly phrase it in English, but I hope you understand.

An all-purpose glue should be enough. I use the UHU yellow tube and it works fine.

I can tell you that my Aura is very saturate and it's very grainy. The texture is deep and obviously visible, but because the leather has "give". It's not hard. Not really the MCM ones. That one feels more like calf. This is more spongy. I love it and like I said, I wish I have more of this leather. But I can't think of the design that won't crowded my closet. That's why I'm getting rid of some bags to make room for MM. This idea never happen to me before so I guess it must be a big deal.

i need someone to talk me out of getting another H scarf...
or enable
i am looking at a plisse version of a regular carre scarf, never had anything like this .... no idea if i need one....
cw should work for me, sakura pink border and white background, 'le flacons' design....
are there many ways to wear it? i am expecting a few floral ones to be delivered soon (i posted earlier, russian traditional ones), plan to wear them with leather jacket and jeans, boho and casual way ... H will be (if at all) a dressy option when i need to add a last touch without going too aggressive (unlike my first one, flame red, which needs red lipstick and fully done MU) ...
your comments and reasonings are most welcome! :flowers:
Well, I know I'm always an H enabler...
... but I don't know anything about the upkeep on a plissé. Have you ever owned one before? The reason I don't have one is because I'd worry about the pleats getting rumpled, and I know that H no longer takes them in for re-pleating.
But if this doesn't bother you, then the colers certainly sound very pretty and I think it would look lovely on you. And dressy, as you say.
Maybe there's someone else on this thread with experience of plissé scarves? :coolio:

Soooo...I'm back home and quite bag disgruntled.

1) I used my black YSL Small Monogram Cabas as my main bag for the travel I did Th - Sun. It was fully loaded several times. And this is what happened. :cursing:
View attachment 3670493 View attachment 3670494
BOTH of the handles came apart. The pins holding on the bar that keeps the handles attached "worked" their way out somehow. I am furious!!! I am careful with my bags and have NEVER had this kind of issue. Not with the cheapest bags or the most delicate. This is supposed to be my black "workhorse". I should be able to carry it fully loaded with no issues.

I bought it from Fashionphile 6 months ago so I can't take it to a boutique. So I'm going to try to find a cobbler to fix it. But with black hardware I'm concerned.

2) My sorority colors are salmon pink and apple green and I like to wear pink. So I wanted an apple green bag to wear to sorority functions now and again. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on what would be a "specialty" bag in my closet so I found an apple green suede Chanel bag at an insanely low sale price because it needs a little cleaning. Nothing major. It's just "grungy."

Well I contacted Leather Surgeons and they said they can't clean suede. Huh??? That shocks me. I'm going to contact a couple of other places and see what they say. If I can't find an option I'll return the bag (I have 30 days). But I'm disappointed. :hrmm: Finding an apple green bag that's pretty and at a low price is not an easy task. LOL!!!
Two really bad stories back-to-back, spark... I'm so sorry! But the really shocking story is the YSL coming apart. That definitely should NOT have happened! I'm really surprised. I mean, it's not as though you were carrying bricks in it! It's a pity about the Chanel bag, but at least you can return it. But there is definitely no excuse for poor workmanship on the YSL bag.
And you were so excited about it, too, I remember.
Yuck. :yucky:

i know :D :hugs: I was waiting for your comment in particular :)
No, i haven't, but i always loved the plisse on other items, collars, sleeves, skirts....
re un-pleating, i thought about it... i think it will still last long enough, as i will not be using it every day, and when it finally un-pleats i will just steam it and iron to flat :D or, maybe, by then H will change their mind and will be re-pleating again :)
Will post it here once it arrives, thank you for your intel :flowers:

This is unacceptable!!!! Very disappointing... so sorry it happened to you
Keep us posted how it will work out with the cobbler :flowers:
