Does anyone nest one bag in another? How many bags go in a bag if you do?

The fact that I am considering this may mean I'm running out of space.

But my Neverfull is empty and I feel like I can totally put another bag in it to make more space...

ETA: My bags occupy one shelf, and the LCs are on this hanger thing. SLGs and charms in a drawer. Those are my space limits, which is why I think I should maximize the space of my Neverfull [emoji23]

Yes I think putting smaller bags in your neverful would save space. I've never had cause to do this but i would totally do if i had too. As long as the bag going into the bigger bag is properly protected (in a dust bag or wrapped in tissue) it shouldn't be a problem

I think you will have more MM bags than me when your order(s?) arrive. I'm trying to space my order because of the customs duties that I still have not come to accept, haha. But I will be ordering one soon for delivery to my sister in the US.
.

Maybe. [emoji28] I have 3 already. [emoji28] I would say that my Selene Zip Midi is one of my best purchases so far. I love everything about it. Best birthday purchase ever! I have 3 more coming with this delivery though. [emoji4] I don't know if I'd love them as much as my Bluey, but the anticipation is very high. Plus, I really want bags in every leather they offer, plus one more Verona. [emoji28] I think I'm being greedy right now, but it's so tempting.

I think ordering during the sale helps a lot for the tax. [emoji20] I wish I don't get charged that much. Well, but it's only a wish. [emoji20]

BTW, I'm thinking about getting rid of my Dior soft tote. But DD like it very much. Should I save it for her?

Do you have any bags or stuff you want to save for your kids?

What do you think of the idea?

How do you like the hand-me-down in general?

I made a decision a year ago to only go for classic bags and stay clear of seasonal pieces; that way i would have a collection i could enjoy forever and possibly pass down to my daughter. I did a major bag overhaul and streamlined my collection.
My goals for this year is to add 3 key pieces i've been eyeing (Hermes Evelyn III GM, Lambskin Medium Lady Dior in black GHW and Speedy b25 in DE) and then later on, add key colors to my clutch collection (silver, fuchsia pink, navy blue).
I'm going to pace myself; get the 3 key pieces first, go on ban island for at least 6 months, then get the clutches. Hope i can achieve my goals!

I'm happy that the Selene midi has worked out well for you! I'm also thinking of Verona leather. I just hope it's not going to be heavy for me.

The idea of passing our nice bags to the next generation sounds so royal. [emoji16] But there is also a danger there when the bags get outdated. We never know what will become forever classics.

Here are my black bags. Not really much change from last year except for the 2 recent Epis. I actually realized late last year that I neglected my blacks and at that time didn't have a more smart looking black bag for more formal office functions (like for meetings outside). So I really searched when I had my trip recently. I also added 2 Longchamps last year.

At the back row L-R: LV Alma Epi, LV Speedy 30 Epi, RM MAM with green zipper track and RM MAM with iguana trim (I think that's how it's called)

Middle row L-R: Dior small Panarea tote, Dior Maris Pearl, MbMJ preppy nylon Natasha and Longchamp Le Foulonne tote

Front row L-R: LV Speedy 25 Epi, Massaccesi mini Zhoe, Marc Jacobs mini 1984 and Marc Jacobs Rita shoulder bag with chain strap

Solo at the middle front: Longchamp medium Neo tote

In addition, I have blacks I have designated as document/laptop bag:

Your black collection is really beautiful, msd!
You have a great variety of bags!

How's everyone on their goals?
Pretty good. I have plenty of open space. I only made one error in ordering a color that didn't work for me anymore but the other three bags were well thought out and no returns. Better thought process at point of purchase then last year. I won't beat myself up for mistakes though I am glad I am making less of them. I am trying to buy a few clothes and shoe options to make more outfits and bags work better. I hate clothes and shoe shopping so it is a slow process.

Your dd is very young so I'm not sure what to do. Are there others she like just as much? My dd already asked for an Lv last year but I gave her a choice of ones I was willing to give up. She chose my Batignolles Horizontal.

Yes, she's so young, but when I take my bags out, she'll ask if I can keep a certain piece to pass it down to her. She reminds me of myself when I went through my mom's stuff. My mom didn't take me seriously back then and I'm kind of regret a bit coz I really like many of her bags. It makes me somehow want to keep my stuff for DD. But yes, I don't know if her taste and fashion will remain the same.

I can understand that. Ask which is her favorite out of all your bags .

I am still thinking of a mulberry bag. Is there anything I should look out for if I decide to go for it? Any negative or positive comments that would help me when I do go to check them out?

Mulberry leather is divine and i can honestly say their bags are hard-wearing and age very well (my opinion is based on purchases i made in 2012, 2013 and 2015, don't know if the leather is still as good).

I have the old style bayswater tote, a discontinued cross-body bag, a regular lily and i had a discontinued white Suffolk which i sold. My favorites are my cross-body and my bayswater tote.

I got the bayswater in 2013 and this bag has been used on a constant basis. I do not baby it at all and it has aged well. This bag is one of my favs in my bag collection. I will use it till it literally falls to pieces [emoji23] i love it that much.

On the other hand, although the Lily is also divine and hard wearing i do not like it based on the size and the chain. I ordered it without checking out its size in a boutique and its quite small for my needs; also the chain tends to dig into your shoulders when worn cross-body as its quite thin. If i had to redo i wouldn't have gotten the lily. I have refused to sell as the resale value is low so i may end up just gifting it to someone.

I haven't made any new purchases from mulberry in a while, so I can't compare the new leathers to the old but if the quality of the leather is unchanged, you can't go wrong. The only problem i would envisage is choosing a style. In my opinion, most of their best classic styles have been discontinued; nothing in their lineup appeals to me and the leathers look somewhat thinner to me (i maybe wrong).

Hope this helps [emoji4]
