My smallest is my Trussardi Lovy Mini. But because it's deep, it actually holds more than my second smallest, my LV LockMe II BB.

My largest is my Max Mara Whitney. But, it's only a smidge larger than my Gucci Nubuck Soho Shoulder Bag and Chanel Chevron Tote.

I also use the bags at each extreme quite a bit.

It was hard to get a pic of this bag; the sides are suede and it seems to eat the light up. It’s also well worn so I’ll see what Modern Leather can do with that. I had to lighten the first one a lot so it’s a little blurry. Here it is ...

Biggest is between my LV Montaigne MM and my oldstyle mulberry bays water.

Smallest would be between my ysl mini studded betty shoulder bag and my dior promenade

Fun question! Here are my smallest and largest bags. I have two smallest and two largest because it’s not such an easy question to answer.

The smalls are a WOC and a micro crossbody that does not really function as a wallet at all, it’s a true tiny bag. It’s a vintage croc bag that really sparks joy. The Dior WOC does function as an evening bag for me, a lovely clutch on a chain, but it’s typically just the matching 6 card-slot wallet that goes with my New Lock.

The bigs are a large Carlos Falchi hobo that is my grail, and of course a true member of my collection. The other bag is a travel bag that I picked up in the gift shop in the four seasons Vegas about 7 years ago, on a WILD girls trip . I have such giggly memories of that trip, and I just think the bag is so cheery and coated canvas makes it really a great throw it in the trunk of the car bag for going to my mother in laws for a few days. Nice padded sleeve on crossbody strap helps with the weight, and it opens WIDE open so you see everything at a glance which makes it a good bag to just live out of while on a short trip rather than unpacking all my stuff and the littles’ stuff for a long weekend, we can just live out of this since it opens up so gaping.

Here are my potentials. I have ZERO intention of buying all or even most of these bags.

I keep a list of potential buys to see what I actually need. I make a tick mark any time I need the bag and don't already have a suitable alternative in my closet. I added that tick mark info below.

DEFINITES
• Chanel Jumbo - Trade red caviar for red lamb. (This will be no new funds added. I expect to get one for approx. the proceeds on the other.)
• Black Fashion tote: This received 16 tick marks - well over my threshold of 6 wears per year. It's my most frustrating gap. Please Purse Gods, help me find this bag. :pray:
• Two work bags - I love my Max Mara tote. But, I'm tired of carrying it so much. I need two more non / low branded bags that look like handbags but hold a small laptop. (bordeaux and caramel) This didn't get tick marks because I can wear the Max Mara or Knomo but I need variety. The Gucci Stirrup I bought for this doesn't work for a number of reasons. But, I love it and use it in other situations so I'll happily keep it.
• Card holder: This got 17 tick marks. I have one, my pink Chanel. I bought two others this summer that I'm selling because they were impractical being metallics and / or lamb (dumb bunny me!). :-s I don't need a collection of card holders but I'd like to have a little variety. So I'll get a second - something cute but sturdy.

CONSIDERING
• Chanel Jumbo - Trade black patent for black lamb. I'd only consider single flap. I waffle because the patent is one of my go to's in bad weather. I wish I could have both part time. LOL! I'll see how I feel after making the red swap. (This will be no new funds added. I expect to get one for approx what the proceeds will be on the other.)
• Small black cross body w/ghw or gold crossbody: I have a lot of bags with shw. But, I've been wearing my yg jewelry more. I "sense" a need for another bag to allow for this. LOL! But I only have 3 ticks. :-s I'm going to let this year tell me if I need this bag. I won't plan on it.
• Another Trussardi Lovy Mini - OMG! I love this bag! It's so roomy although it's mini. And, I love the style. I'd like to get another in an interesting material but it's not a need - no tick marks.:doh:
• Two small work bags / WOC: I need two small bags (black and maybe a dark, matte metallic) I can slip into my totes and use when I'm running to lunch or for work dinners when I'm traveling. Maybe Chanel reissue?? because it has to be non / low branded. I'm going to hold off as long as possible. Especially since I expect to change gears career wise in the next 12-18 months. Maybe 2019?

OPPORTUNITY BUYS
(I want and think I'll use these but don't need them. If I run across them at insanely good prices, I'd consider scooping one or two up. But, no tick marks on any of these. And, shouldn't I buy the work bags and other known need bags first??)

• Fendi By the Way (new color): I don't need one. I need to let this go. Lol!

POTENTIAL BAGS TO SELL / DONATE
I can't take it anymore. :panic:I have got to minimize selling. So, honestly, I will choose to sit on / be happy with some bags vs flipping them.

In any case, this is all I could see selling from my collection. Everything else is a definite keeper! :love:

Other than the Chanel swap outs and potentially the Prada dzt's:

• Celine Python Edge: The love / hate continues. :lol: It's not worth anything close to what I paid. So, I need to continue to learn to love this bag. I'm wearing more and more black. That will help the love.
• Almost all my odds and ends (5 of the 7):frown:: these are security blankets. I don't wear them but keep them "just in case".

Despite my desire not to spend much new money on bags it seems unavoidable this year. :crybaby:So, I'll hunt deals more than ever. If I can be a big girl and avoid buying the tbd bonus bag, all the better! If I'm excited about my work bags, I think I can.

Sparks your analysis is so clear and detailed and shows you know what you want and don’t want.

My advice would be to just go with the flow and follow this initial spreadsheet you’ve prepared.

As the year progresses wants/needs may change so you will easily be able to adjust accordingly. [emoji106]

I have my wishlist down but i’m planning to see if i can push myself to wait till mid-year before i make a purchase.
I want to really try and break my bags in and use them well. They all still look so new, i feel like I still haven’t gotten enough use out of them.

My one desperate need is a black work tote; all other items I don’t need desperately so we’ll see

Haven’t used it since. The smallest bag I have that does get used is a small vintage Mark Cross camera bag, barely larger than the Coach but enough larger/deeper to be somewhat functional.

And I’m off to my ladies’ night Christmas edition. I have started a new tradition of hosting a pot luck poolside ladies evening with spa services every couple of months and today is the second one. There should be two dozen of us and I cannot wait to get my nails done and a massage, and swim in a heated indoor pool and take sauna, with most of my best friends around me and a ton of new acquaintances and casual friends. I hope it’s fun! Last time in October it was a bit stressful because I rented the venue and it was a lot of work getting the logistics together. This time my friend is letting me use her huuuuge home, and the logistics were a lot easier to recreate after having a template already hammered out in early autumn. It was a ton easier to get people to commit to being there and their participation efforts this time for some reason, I guess because the early autumn party was so fun, that people were motivated to participate.

Social engineering is hard work! I have my 4 Hendricks G&Ts premade and in portable containers for my evening ‘party’ so I know I will be in fits of giggles in a few hours. To celebrate a hard semester completed with flying colors (ended totally yesterday)!
