Can’t believe I made through this weekend with out bag shopping. I just keep looking in my closet when ever I get stressed and want to shop.

Good for you! This was one of the hard weekends to get ahold of that urge. Applause....

I keep an album on my devices ... Bags in Fall/Winter Rotation by Color ... and I scroll through it or play it as a slideshow to quiet my bag hunger. The album has 18 bag pics and one shot of the closet shelves with the bags displayed, though sideways. I have a Spring/Summer album also, and others. I do a lot of sorting and counting using albums and my bag “hobby” seems blessedly organized rather a little random and chaotic like it once did.

Got a new bag accessory, a bag organizer for my Hawaii Neverfull MM. I found one in the same beautiful green color as the bag’s interior. I’m also pleased about the zipper closure, pockets, and water bottle pockets (one on each side).

Don’t know if @bakeacookie has an organizer for her Hawaii Neverfull, but this is a good one. The vendor is Original Club on Etsy. Color is Emerald.

I also ordered an organizer from this same vendor for my Longchamp Pliage, but I’m not as pleased with it. It’s made from a thinner, flimsier wool felt. I’ll make do with it since it’s just for my nylon tote.

This is astonishingly gorgeous as the INSIDE of a bag. I would love reaching In there!

Is there an option to not use face id and still use a thumbprint or code?

The picture is pretty. A better camera is the only reason I would be tempted to get a new phone. But, my trusty 6S is going strong. So maybe I can wait for the XV or XX. Lol!

Wait a couple months. My 6 was going strong this time last year too. And even 7 months ago. But right around the 2.5 year mark it started to circle the drain in terms of battery life, and lagging in general. It eventually died just after the 3 year mark, while waiting for my new phone, so I found an old 5s in our shelves to use that had a shot battery, but still lasts up to an hour or two off the charger so that works for me, for now. Not nicely but, I’m trying to be patient.

Yes, you can just use the passcode to unlock. No thumbprint, though, because no home button.
It was VERY out of character for me to be on the "bleeding edge" of technology like this... usually I wait for the early innovators to put a new product through its paces! But I had a major birthday coming up, and I wanted to make a splash.

I felt like 3 years without a new phone, and the last 6+ months of it being a painful device to use, was enough reason to want to splash out! Although really the reason I chose X over the 8 was simply because I’ve always wanted less bezels on iphone, more screen real estate, less size form factor, and the X is finally getting a nice sized screen onto a phone in a size that fits in my hand nicely, so it’s the design I’ve been waiting years for. I don’t know about the face ID....

I'm going to throw your post into the merciless fires of Hades and smudge my iPhone in cleansing sage. (yea, I'm mixing belief systems but whatever)

I am purposefully not updating my software to try to keep my phone alive because I really have zero joy in electronics. The only thing less interesting is cars. And, I'm already stuck with the upcoming yet unwelcome purchase of the latter.

You'd asked about counting bags. I wrote the following earlier and never posted.
----
I have 4 categories: collection, odds and ends, SLG's and functional bags (luggage, business bags, grocery totes, etc.)

My collection is comprised of all the handbags I use and love. I spoil myself with my bags so, I only want premier in my collection. (currently 25 of the 28 are premier)

To me, a tiny crossbody is a handbag because I could use it instead of a handbag. It holds things like lip gloss, keys and perhaps even sunglasses. I can't use a "true" SLG (like a key holder or pouch) instead of a handbag. So, the small crossbody would be counted in my collection.

Odds & ends are handbags (contemporary or sub contemporary) with some style but primarily retained for function. My limit is 10.

SLG's are small, singular function items such as pouches, key holders and wallets.

And, functional bags are ones I have to own with style / fashion as a limited consideration.

Why can’t odds and ends and functional be joined?
Odds & ends bags are different from my functional bags because:

1) I like the OE bags' styles. They just happen to be primarily functional for me. (Most were in my collection before I upgraded)

2) I have to monitor and control what I buy . Otherwise, I'd snag deals on bags and justify them by putting them in this category. So, I set a hard limit.

In contrast, I have no love for my functional bags. I own them because I have to. So, I spend the minimum possible and add more only when it's absolutely necessary. There is zero chance of this category growing.

I have changed so many of my bags since the beginning of the year. That the color exercise we did in the beginning of the year is no longer valid as I got rid of quite a few. I have now started to photograph some of them individually as I use them and that is helping.

I noticed when making a spreadsheet as ksuromax recommended, that I actually have a lot of bags that are F/W only, and only 1-2 that are S/S only. I found a hole! No red bag that is year-round, my reds are F/W only. And no S/S taupe.
Luckily, S/S is like ten minutes where I live, so my F/W weather is nearly year round weather.

I think I found an outfit to wear this teal bag with.... it’s a somewhat hard bag to match with most of my wardrobe. Colors in general are so hard! Because my outfits are so loud....
That looks great. I have a dinky bag I rarely wear because it is teal. I just bought a sweater that I think will finally bring that cute bag out of the closet.
