Yes probably...but this was a hidden layer of dense and heavy suede. I am thinking lightweight leather lining in a smaller bag might be okay weight wise. But not a middle layer sandwiched between. Plus I would have a Max weight limit with Cathy to keep under 800g total.

Got a new bag accessory, a bag organizer for my Hawaii Neverfull MM. I found one in the same beautiful green color as the bag’s interior. I’m also pleased about the zipper closure, pockets, and water bottle pockets (one on each side).

Don’t know if @bakeacookie has an organizer for her Hawaii Neverfull, but this is a good one. The vendor is Original Club on Etsy. Color is Emerald.

I also ordered an organizer from this same vendor for my Longchamp Pliage, but I’m not as pleased with it. It’s made from a thinner, flimsier wool felt. I’ll make do with it since it’s just for my nylon tote.

Actually, I haven’t done anything about the BV yet. I see one on eBay but will have to run it by the ladies over at BV. Then there’s one at Matches Fashion (is that the name..) if it’s still there. I’ve approached this birthday bag in a very logical way .. no quickie falling for a bag that crosses my path ... and I think it may be inhibiting me somewhat.

The IPhone X ... a great gift. I understand it has no home button. Was that transition easy to make? I imagine I’ll miss the home button when my time comes. I do love my photos so I would appreciate any and all improvement in the camera for sure.
Substituting face i.d. for a passcode took a few hours (total, over a few days) to get used to. Sometimes it still takes 2 tries to unlock the phone when I'm outside, which can be frustrating... I think face i.d. isn't perfect yet, and I'm hoping that software updates will fix it. But when it does work, which is most of the time, it's super simple. And the amazing camera more than makes up for it. I hardly ever go out with my high-end DSLR any more. Only when I'm specifically going out to take photos for the day.

I have no idea when my X will arrive. I ordered it when they became available in store on Nov 3, standing in line in the morning, and the last one they had instock to hand out went to the person literally standing in line in front of me, I was the first person to be told ‘SOLD OUT! We can order one that you’ll get in a matter of some weeks, no idea when!’.
ARGH. I literally drove half an hour each way just to get my new phone and if I would have just been a little less ‘one-last-hug&kiss-okay-one-more-last-hug&kiss-okay-this-is-really-the-last-hug&kiss’ and more perfunctory at daycare drop off I would have gotten one. But of course every kiss from my little princesses is worth anything.
But a phone would have been nice! I’m back to an iPhone 5s that my husband had laying around from a couple of years ago because my 6 actually just died completely and wouldn’t turn on, and this one can last an hour or so off the charger so that’s something, but certainly not a treat to use. If I didn’t drive (I charge it in the car) it would be unbearable.
I hope it comes through soon for you. It must be really frustrating to be using that 5s, and meanwhile everyone else is running around with new phones! My iPhone X had an original ship date of December 1, and then it came 2 weeks early. I was very surprised... that hardly ever happens!

Is there an option to not use face id and still use a thumbprint or code?

The picture is pretty. A better camera is the only reason I would be tempted to get a new phone. But, my trusty 6S is going strong. So maybe I can wait for the XV or XX. Lol!

Yes, you can just use the passcode to unlock. No thumbprint, though, because no home button.
It was VERY out of character for me to be on the "bleeding edge" of technology like this... usually I wait for the early innovators to put a new product through its paces! But I had a major birthday coming up, and I wanted to make a splash.
