I have no idea when my X will arrive. I ordered it when they became available in store on Nov 3, standing in line in the morning, and the last one they had instock to hand out went to the person literally standing in line in front of me, I was the first person to be told ‘SOLD OUT! We can order one that you’ll get in a matter of some weeks, no idea when!’.
ARGH. I literally drove half an hour each way just to get my new phone and if I would have just been a little less ‘one-last-hug&kiss-okay-one-more-last-hug&kiss-okay-this-is-really-the-last-hug&kiss’ and more perfunctory at daycare drop off I would have gotten one. But of course every kiss from my little princesses is worth anything. :)
But a phone would have been nice! I’m back to an iPhone 5s that my husband had laying around from a couple of years ago because my 6 actually just died completely and wouldn’t turn on, and this one can last an hour or so off the charger so that’s something, but certainly not a treat to use. If I didn’t drive (I charge it in the car) it would be unbearable.

I held off on the X because I couldn’t give up my home button haha.

It’s the same feeling when I had to give up my Qwerty keyboard transitioning from Blackberry to iPhone. I’m not doing it till I have to!

I can’t wait to see what you’ll pick for your birthday!

Our office phone subscription is up for renewal and I am choosing between the iphone 8 plus and X. I knew nothing about X before I heard it in this thread. I still don't know about its features now, lol! But for both, I need to pay my share and 8plus has lesser cash out, so I'd probably go for that. [emoji3]

I *think* I bought my last MM for a long time last night. I really think I did. I said that 2 weeks ago but I really think this will do it. I will not be persuaded by 20-25% off sales anymore. No. Will not. Mmmm-mm.
I do feel brimming hope that Cathy Roels will be everything I dream of in terms of really luxury finishing on a purse at the price point I can splurge on at this stage in my life. I don’t have any bags lined in leather right now except my Carlos Falchi crocodile hobo lined in suede. Even my 2-3k dollar bags are lined in cloth, so it will be a really nice treat to get the leather lined pink flap I’m waiting for in the mail, and see if that, combined with her incredible attention to leatherworking detail learned from her teacher, a master from Delvaux, leaves me with a bag I’m breathless about admiring. We’ll see. I am actually carrying a simple unlined tote from her today, it’s light as a freakin feather, like a canvas bag, but just very simplistic, so it will be totally different to see what a bag she has spent 20 hours on feels like.

Do you guys include small crossbody bags in your counts? Do they need to be truly micro/evening bags, clutches or WOCs before you put them in SLG category? It feels weird to have, say, my penny messengers from Massaccesi in the same category as my proper bags, but then again the capacity is not much less than, say, an Aura (the dark chocolate bag I nagged away from tenKrat and posted photo of with the terra cotta coat over the weekend). Where do you guys draw the line with your headcounts in your collection proper?

Iphone X is smaller than 8+ and has a bigger screen.

So if that matters to you, it seems like a better option to me, who does like as small bezels as possible, i.e. as much screen as possible on a phone that doesn’t feel like a giant honking brick from the 80s in my hand.

Oh and I think I’m going to go with the catalyst waterproof shockproof case that ships in January. Underwater pics!!!!!!

Just want to say how (pleasantly) surprised I am that you find the MM gems so easily! Hopefully you can get your ban going (if that is still your goal). Sora has made a good point in that thread and I also went through that buying mania.

As to your SLG question, I'm not much into it so I only have a few. I didn't really categorize them with the other bags. But later on I did because otherwise I would think it was okay to add, when I only have few uses for them.

I really like that bag, but my angelica is like yours, in a floppy leather, and the corner edges also wave/crumple like that, and I do not like it! I prefer a bag like that to stand up tall long term the way it does in the beginning, although I know many like their angelica and other bags to ‘melt’ south. I think my athene angelica has even more of a wave in the vertical corner edge than yours seems to. Yours is so beautiful in that verona! You don’t find it heavy? I can’t figure out why my chocolate verona midi selene is SO HEAVY>

I know I weighed this, just can't recall exactly how much, but it doesn't seem to have breached my limit of 2.4lbs. Though I agree that it feels heavier than my nappa MM bags.

Hopefully the natural calf I ordered would be with the structure I desire! I also don't like this bag melting. [emoji3]

I wasn’t brave enough to cut into the lining of the main space. I never use the zip pockets EVER even though I’ve tried to make use of them a zillion times, it never sticks and I always hate trying to get something out of there. They are aesthetic only for me. So I figured cutting the linings out would be a good idea anyways as their lining material is quite heavy. I used a seam ripper to remove a double panel piece of it that is their main interior large slip pocket and it was shockingly heavy so I knew I wanted to ditch whatever of the marine lining I could. THen once I had access I realized I could remove anything else unneeded inside the bag to cut the weight! It was totally worth it.

I am shocked - to be honest. Are you not planning a fully leather lined special order from Etsy???
