Spark,

It is a beautiful color but the maintenance hasn't been issue yet so I think your good. If you love it then you could move to your premiere carefree and really use in the summer months.
The red LV will leave tomorrow and I will have 1 out for December. The best part is I sold for $1900. Putting in the fund towards next years bag fund
I'm telling myself (new story to justify keeping this bag LOL) that one irrational indulgence in a collection is ok. BUT!!! I'm still going to wear this bag over the next 60-90 days to see if it has a chance of working. It's up tomorrow so I'll report in. :-s
Wowsers in your sale. Congrats!!!!
I kind of know what I will use. Problem is when the bag goes on sale and i convinced myself it's a good price to try the color or style. More often than not the bag gets sold within 1-3 months [emoji28]. I need to work on no flipping and sales
Very cool. I love hearing about how people use their collections. I'm so biased to try to get to "forever". Maybe I need to add in pure "enjoy".
You and I can balance each other out. :flowers:

[emoji137] definitely sign me up for bag balancing session [emoji1]
I think it's great that your able to buy and not become attached. This leaves room to always have the latest and greatest trends while maximizing resale value to fund the next purchase. I like HB slg because they are inexpensive and cute.

The one HB I bought I sold it NWT [emoji19] didn't lose any money thank God. I'm generally quite sensible and use my stuff till it dies a natural death. No one is perfect lol. Somehow I have adopted this expensive buy/sell bags "hobby" [emoji58]. Resell used to be easier for Mz Wallace but recently it's harder. Not sure is it due to a general pessimistic economy outlook?

I'm going to add a huge challenge.

I'm going to try and go 3 months, January 1 to April 1, without buying a new bag or SLG.

This means passing on the LV Valentine's collection, which will be a struggle.

I won't say no to gifts, but I'll be doing my best to not encourage them either!!!

Anyone want to join me on a no in first quarter for 2017?
I'm in! I hope I don't end up regretting it, but I DID say (in the 2016 thread) that 2017 was going to be a "no new bags" year for me, so I really should stick to that for at least the first quarter of the year... right??? :panic: :panic: :panic:

Bake, I'm going on a trip to Japan in March and I plan to get a preloved bag there, so I can't join you on a no in first quarter. But I'll try no in before the trip. [emoji4]

Hi all!
I'm in for 15 in 30, need to sort out and decide which 15 i'm gonna use

My collection's grown up and wide in 2016 but i don't have bad feeling, just need to sell a couple of bags which don't work for me to make it perfect
My goal for 2017 is no bags, no SLGs, no shoes unless something extraordinary pops up.
I want one and only bag, BV cervo hobo in China red, she will be in ss collection and i'm going to get it. That's it.
The only exceptions will be leather bracelets and silver pieces.
Saving up for a big purchase.
Good luck to all in their goals and achievements!
Terrific goal, ksuromax! I love my new China Red FF wallet, it's such a happy color. Excited for you to have that color in a whole entire bag!:heart::heart:

Yea. The ONLY way for me to stay good is to stay off the websites. I can't lie to myself and say I'm just peeking to pass the time. LOL!
Me, too! I have to distract myself by getting on the treadmill, picking up my book or my knitting, or doing errands. Anything to keep off the shopping sites! I've learned this the hard way!

Question for everyone as we look to optimize our closets.

If you had to give up 1 bag from what you consider to be your "main" collection, what would it be. And...what's keeping you from giving it up now?
It would be my Fendi Petite 2Jours in turquoise... the color isn't my favorite, and it's just a teensy bit too small to carry my things gracefully.
And knowing this, I might just rehome it next year! :amuse:

I think breaking the year up into smaller chunks is probably a better way of approaching it. A whole year without a new bag feels daunting but a couple of months feels very doable! And succeeding for the first quarter should give us a boost for the next quarter (I hope)
