Faceties .... one of the recent abstract designs that are nearly indistinguishable geometrics when folded ... eg anything with bold stripes, anything by Peake, many by Dimitri, some by Pagni
Geometric seems to be a huge theme these days, multi cultural and PC, those are honestly hard to tell apart
unless you wear the scarf in a triangle over the shoulders, the horse in FACETIES goes away
This is funny. I find the geometrics often very individual. It's the other flowerly, small-scaled designs that I can't tell apart when worn! :)

I have to admit that maybe Aline Honore's works aren't for me! I can't seem to like the Femme aux semelles de vent that is considered a grail, and I love Parures de samourais' intricate details but now that I have one it doesn't speak to me as much as I thought it would.
My fave artist so far has been Alice Shirley, but... I don't want to sound like an heretic, but her works seem to be all very similar to one another. Very recognisable for sure, but at the same time when they're worn they all look interchangeable.
Ps. Sorry for my mistakes, english isn't my first language!
Your English is great - no need to apologize. I agree about Shirley's designs.

While Honoré is my favorite, I must agree on Semelles. I couldn’t find a cw I liked or that worked. In either csgm or 90. The black 90 I’m sure would be wonderful on me and it’s beautiful. But I won’t pay a ridiculous grail price, so that’s that.

I struggled with Samouraïs as well. Plenty of the 90 cws were good on me, but meh. Then time past and I fell hard for the blue CSGM and got it from our own @sdsurfchick for a very fair price.

Honoré’s designs vary widely. I agree with @Bostonjetset that Sieste is marvelous.

As to Shirley, agreed again. My Tyger is very different from my Jardin Anglais. My new Mountain Zebra has the same small patterning of the JA but is all red so completely different. My Jaguar Quetzal again is in a very unique cw. That’s it for Shirley because they really do seem to run together.
I don't think I could tell Tyger Tyger from Jaguar Quetzal, sorry! I don't own either of them though.

THats very interesting actually because they’re not in the least alike. One has sky, one doesn’t, one’s stripes the other spots, one has feathers out the wazoo the other flowers. I’ll try to convince you next time I see you!

I agree that Shirley designs can have the same look. If the look has garden/flowers for sure! I bought mountain zebra because it has similar flower field to Jardin Anglais so I am satiated to never pay the insane anglais prices lol. I do oddly feel that my Wild Singapore and Mountain zebra feel the same when I wear. The colors are the difference for me, but feel the same garden/floral wise. I know some will think that’s nuts lol. So I think 2 of her garden/floral heavy designs is enough for me. No 3 graces for same reason. Because of this I could do Tyger in a 140 for a larger scale. Different enough To me. I have Quetzal 140 which is VeRy feather and plant/leaves heavy. Not floral, so not at all the same to me. I guess I am saying I don’t need all her heavy floral designs. Just a couple.
And I am leery about saying who and why my top are my top and favs because I don’t need the prices of those scarves going through the roof from reading these threads lol. I have no idea if Anglais and Samourais sold out immediately or if it was a slow rise due to word of mouth that made them get astronomical level. My first Hermes was after those two came out.
But I have to add...why are the Oliver’s through the roof on resale!! I feel like someone got wind of an illness or something ( god forbid) and thought that his artistic works will be wanted more or something. Or they know he isn’t going to do anymore by choice. It is soooooo bizarre to me! Why now?? I only have one 70 that has turquoise colors and jewelry ( southwestern feels for me) so that’s all I needed to own my one for UNDER retail lol.

Interesting to hear about Jardin Anglais. Is that a huge grail now? I bought that one for my mom when it was first released because she was just diagnosed with cancer [she is in remission now! :)] and she was so worried about losing her hair from treatments [she didn't] so I figures she could at least have a fabulous head scarf. She is not a huge fashionista but truly loves her Anglais and wears it often when she travels or goes to a decent restaurant. I got it from H.com when it was released so don't think it was particularly hard to get back then. It is a beautiful print though so I can understand why it was popular.

I don't get it with the Oliver designs either. Some people really go mad for them but they are just not for me [except Kachinas as that one is fabulous]. I have a Pani in bandana 55cm that was a gift so find a way to wear it but it is not one I would have bought for myself. They HAVE been really expensive lately; far too much IMO to wrap a giant turkey around my neck lol.

That was such a sweet present for your Mom. I'm glad she didn't end up losing her hair… and especially that she's in remission! When I had chemotherapy, I did lose my hair, and I wore my H scarves as cover-ups. Okay, so I was bald, but at least I was elegant!

My only Kermit Oliver is Texas Wildlife, my second H scarf ever (my first was La Mare aux Canards, purchased in Harrods in 1986 before I even knew how to pronounce "Hermès"!). I bought Texas Wildlife at I. Magnin in San Francisco in about 1987. I wasn't "collecting" then, but I was drawn to everything along the border more than the big honking turkey. I wore it so often in the 80s & 90s that it's super-soft. I suppose these days the texture would be called "vintage silk," but I did it all on my own! Now I just wear it once a year on Thanksgiving.

I love my Faceties de Pegase (turquoise). I passed on it in the boutique because it was almost too perfect for me. Later I found one in perfect condition with tags still on it for way under retail, so I now own it. It's a pretty under-the-radar scarf I guess. (I agree about the scary heads on Dolly and Fairytales - not for me!)

I'm happy you found that scarf! Finding a scarf for under retail is a very satisfying feeling :amuse:

I'm glad your mom's in remission! Yes, Jardin anglais is sold for crazy prices, there is one on eBay now for 1200 euros. I barely knew what H scarves were back then, I was in university and didn't like them, so no chances to buy it at retail price. Who knows if H will release it again in the future!
Speaking about Alice's designs I have mixed feelings about Into the canadian wild, some days I like it and some days I don't. But I don't own it and don't want to pay over retail for it, so that's that. I do own Alice's book and there are some designs there that I would love to see in a scarf, especially one with a beautiful peacock and a fox.
Oliver designs are definitely not for me, I guess I should consider myself lucky at this point  I do appreciate the drawings in Texas wildlife, but that giant turkey feels kinda strange to me... I can't stop imagining it in a oven!

I love your nickname!!!

I thought I would have waited for a while and then decided if and when to part ways with my Parures de samourais... but no, I don't have it anymore! I did not sell it, in fact, but I traded it with the limited edition Jaguar quetzal that was made for the Lyon store. It's beautiful and I couldn't be happier (even if the colors are more suited for the fall and winter months)! This feels a lot more like a personal grail (I own another cw as well, I never thought I would have owned two scarves with the same design). I don't think I'll miss the Parures, at least in that particular colorway.
