Yesterday a grail scarf for many arrived at my doorsteps, it's the Parures de samourais. And at the moment I am...a bit underwhelmed! It's not the cw I would have wanted (I had found it but it was too expensive for me), maybe that's the problem. It's not that I don't like the design, but there's something that doesn't convince me. I feel a bit guilty for having spent the money and not being totally happy with my purchase. Maybe I should give myself a bit of time and then decide what to do with it? Selling shouldn't be a problem, I guess.

It could be that you didn’t get your preferred color. This particular pattern has very bold colors so can see a person not loving it when they get it. Sorry. Maybe it will grow on you.

Which color way is it? Whilst I think most colorways of the 90 were fabulous I can see how a few may not work for everyone. Try it on with various outfits and see if you like it with different looks. If you don’t, you’ll have no issue rehoming it I’m sure. Haha.

I don't know the exact name of the colorway, but it's the one with the red tassels and a lot of blue elements. Great description, I know
I could always hang it I suppose, and use it as a piece of art for an empty wall!

After 7 years of waiting I’ve finally got my biggest grail. C’est La Fête in the original 70cm. Ciel/Bleu/Bleu Nuit.

HOORAY! This is the best CW, with the possible exception of the one I have (LOL) - navy with some purple. I had BOTH of the dipdyes, they were impossible and murky. The reissues did nothing for me, although I bought a fuschia men's pocket square. So MAJOR congratulations! What a good feeling. How how about some action shots?

Yes. Give it a little time and don't feel guilty or anything. You can probably recoup your money by reselling, or even make some! This design will always be popular.
Also, speaking from experience, beware of other people's grails. It's fun to get caught up in all the excitement, but often difficult to see clearly. Years ago there was a scarf called Hello Dolly that people were crazy about and was reselling for piles of money. Now - pfft.

"Underwhelmed" doesn't sound the best first description of an HG scarf

I only have one (90) and I am very happy with mine.

I bought another but returned the second (something I seldom do) and 'upgraded' to a moussie of the season because I didn't like the second as much as the first. I don't want to keep anything second-best. Cws can make all the difference, sometimes they give a totally fresh approach to the same design/format and sometimes they just don't suit us (personally) as well.
