Okay well, this is going to take some practice. The silk 140s are so slippery compared to a CSGM.

I deliberately chose the side I feared would be less flattering on me (quite warm) but it’s not bad I think! It’s a keeper. Thank goodness because I’m madly in love with it.

Wearing it today with an also new-to-me blue leather jacket.

Congrats! It's beautiful on you Pirula! Prune and Brique is a really rich combination.

That's a toughie. I think it depends on just how "graily" your grails may be. Fortunately, I tend to obsess over things that others don't, and so most things that are grails for me, aren't in the general category. Or course, if I ever found a FauSduV at a good price, that's not to say I wouldn't want one....Maybe don't tell all, but start with one?

Thanks, that's great advice. I'd have to say for me that most of my grails aren't the classic ones either. However, I'm doubting myself on what I *really* want. I'm sad to say that I recently purchased one of my grails from an online consignment site. I was delighted as I'd been hunting it for awhile. It was in perfect condition and yet when I received it and tried it on....no magic occurred. I ended up returning it. So, I hate to involve others in my hunt and then find out I don't love it when I get it. That sounds neurotic, doesn't it? LOL
Not neurotic at all. We have ALL been there! It's hard when we have to shop online for older scarves. That's why tPF pix are so helpful!

the quote feature has slayed me....sorry

Ok, I'll say it out loud....I want La Vie du Grand Nord. I know it's a zillion $$ on resale sites and it's been copied like crazy but I love those huskies and polar bears. I would really like the CSGM but it's like nutsy expensive but even the 90cm would be great. If I could pick, my colorway...sigh....I'd like one of the warm color versions. While the cool icy ones are gorgeous, they're not good with my skin tone.
It's a great scarf and, yes, it is usually overpriced on the bay of evil. At one time I had six! Now only four. I think the white one is online at the moment. Keep calling to it! One will find its way to you!

Thanks a bunch. There's a plisse one on TRR but I don't want to mess with the de-plisse-ing. There's also that beautiful pinky red one that you have on the SOTD thread but it's like $600 or something crazy like that. Will keep hunting. :)

I love this scarf! I had 2 CWs (sold one) but would get this one, too. And the blue one... :)

Beautiful on you !

Thank you bunnycat! "Rich" is the word for this one for sure. Not just the colors (you're right) but also the feel of this wonderfully soft, heavy silk.

This is spectacular. I've seen it IRL and know it will be amazing with your coloring and your wardrobe! MAJOR CONGRATS!
Also - I love the color they casually call "bleu" LOLOL

Thanks dear momasaurus!

Beautiful on you !

Thank you!

Thank you!

Yes! And the lavender makes a wonderful counterpoint to it! A "compositional element" (artspeak) :P that sets the other colors off nicely.

Beautiful!
Definitely a keeper!

Ugh, system didn't quote you the first time.

Thank you FlaTiger! Which cw did you keep? This came in so many pretty colors, it's quite something.
I have CW3 - framboise/vanille/vert amande. It's an odd color combo for me but it goes with a lot. The one that I sold was never shown on the website. It was CW1 - it was orange/green/khaki. I liked the orange and green but there was too much white and a pale beige that made me nuts.

Oh that sounds pretty. I’ll search for it.

I saw the green amande for sale a lot before I gave up and stopped looking for this one. And then there it was (kinda like finding my husband). [emoji23]

I like the green Amande a lot, but those colors would never work on me.
