This looks great on you! I, too, am a sucker for a contrast hem!

You got another Turandot?!?!?! In the blue and orange?!?!?!
SO JEALOUS! Congrats! Can't wait to see the mod shots!

Thank you darling Bostonjetset! :smooch:

Why r u doing this to me PbP?

Did you get it??? I can totally see you in it!

Pirula - gorgy as always! It really suits you and looks fantastic with the jacket you are wearing. You cleaned up on scarves this Christmas!

Thank you MYH! Glad you think it suits. It is a beauty for sure. I was very very fortunate this Christmas! :rockettes:

Frou frou, if you see this, I think I finally see what you mean about size and busy-ness of pattern making a difference in how it suits. Seeing you in the lovely red and cobalt Cuirs on scarf of the day (I think I got the design right) you look so fabulous and I wondered "It's almost the same colors as Mythes so why on earth didn't that work too?" But the Mythes pattern is super intricate and detailed and frankly a bit cray. :cray: Whereas your other one has larger (medium) elements and a bit of "open" space within the design. It looked beautiful on you. While I've not seen you in Mythes I can see the difference you're talking about. As I've said before, I can't see the difference on me and I hope this works. To me it works, so I guess that's what matters, but I hope you agree too.

Dearest Pirula your new red Mythes is really ,really lovely on you , don't for a minute think I'm critical of that scarf . It's one of the loveliest ever and you are so lucky to suit it .
Isn't it strange how we can say what suits one another just seeing the shoulders and torso  but that shows it's partly to do with demeanour and personality as well as colouring.
I think after a few years I've come to the conclusion that I look better in more graphic scarves . Dear Papertiger said that in so many words when we were out together shopping at H a while back. She thought maybe I could go for bolder designs which I don't think I've managed yet!
Tout Cuir is interesting as it is actually old school H with a border and it's navy too , but it feels right and slightly sassy which is more or less what we all look for I think.

Just returned from a lovely day with a friend from tpf , we always have a ball in Hermès and today was no exception.
Long story short : I hankered after a Zebra Pegasus maxi twilly I'd seen on an SA in Bond Street , they had said it was the only one in that colour ordered .
I had chosen a different one which didn' t work , so I changed it for the red which I love.
So today , what did we find but my Grail Zebra Maxitwilly ;);););)
It's rather unprepossessing in the H photos but I love the fact it has grey, black and brown with the most lovely orange .

I now have found 2 grails in 2 days …..and that will be that for a while :graucho:
I need DH to go out so that I can take some photos. He ….has… no… idea…

You are on a roll frou frou. Please post when you can. I can't wait to see. I don't think I have ever seen that black brown grey maxi twilly. I'm looking for something in those colors. I bought a clic clac a pois which I love. Very fun. But the polka dots give it an informal look. I'm looking for something more formal for a certain purpose.

[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]You cracked me up with your DH comment! I do the same thing - take pictures when he's not around - and only remember afterwards that we share an apple cloud account so he sees them all eventually anyway, lol. [emoji16]
Congrats on acquiring your grails!! [emoji122][emoji106]

Sadly, yes. I've had many, many scarves over the years, but I do not keep the ones I don't wear....I "discover" new colors, tweak my style, etc. At the time I wasn't wearing it, but now I would.

I had an Ex Libris en Kimonos CSGM I let go …. Still got the 90cm and I don't wear it any more but keep hoping it will grab me again .
I need to let go of quite a few, but selling is a major hassle.
I wish I could be as resolute as you: I love tweaking my style and buying new stuff.
My mother lived by the maxim 'bring a new thing in, send an old one out' and only now do I see the sense in it.

Thank you so much frou frou. I'm delighted you think it works on me. I agree, it's incredibly beautiful. I'm about to pull it out to look at details; first sunny'ish day in weeks it seems. I'm planning to wear it Saturday for first time, art gallery hopping with a dear friend.

Oh do please show us your new ZP!

Since I got my 69/70 grail I'm feeling a bit satiated with older designs. I removed most of my "grails" from my list because I just don't need them. The only one left is blue red ex Libris en kimonos. And I'm turning my attention toward the new season. I hope I'm finally done with the old designs other than that exLenK. And I'm selling off one scarf for the first time. So I'll see how that goes. I can definitely see the need to edit over time.

OOOOH congrats!! I can't wait to see!!
I LOL'd at your comment about DH having no idea.
I often use the "oh this old thing? I've had it for years!" reply when DH happens to notice something expensive I've recently bought HAHA.

Omg. And tomorrow is a holiday. You won't be able to sneak a photo until Monday. Don't feel badly. DH took my car in for servicing a few weeks ago and asked why I had a bunch of orange boxes stashed in the car.

Yes, I don't like to have too much of anything...when my closet gets too full I feel claustrophobic...but honestly I sometimes sell just as impulsively as I buy. My SAs know I do this, but still sometimes I'll try on a new scarf and one will tell me that I already have a bunch just like it, and I'm thinking no...I don't! I have bought and sold at least 300 scarves. Right now I have 4 90s, 4 cashmere GMS, 1 silk GM and a pair of twillies. Thats IT!!!

That's always a good line...unfortunately my DH doesn't even bother to ask anymore! I can see him notice something new....he'll stop and give me a weird look for a second...and then he'll continue with whatever he was saying. (should go in the addictions thread!)

Wow, you. Really do let things go. I'm not sure I an do that. At least not yet. But I am selling one. Baby steps.

Frou frou, if you see this, I think I finally see what you mean about size and busy-ness of pattern making a difference in how it suits. To me it works, so I guess that's what matters, but I hope you agree too.

Pirula, I knew you would quickly pick this up this concept! The scale of the design and the amount of open space are a big part of the impact, yes? I am not a big fan of the super-intricate squirrely designs, but I have one friend who prefers them to all others.
